Good, that means you won't be replying to me, and I can still destroy your arguments.

    Toodleoo.... you know the rest.

Why don't you guys just stop trying to spend other people's money, and focus on enforcing laws we all agree on?

    NO
The 1996 gun reform here in Australia did exactly that - we had different gun laws in each state

Isn't that YOUR argument - there is no individual responsibilty because the easy availability of guns to everyone anywhere means it is not the gun's fault ergo it has to be - well not the people pushing for easy availability or that part of society not trying to take responsibility for reducing the easy availability or that part that refuses to listen to rational suggestions about keeping guns from the hands of criminals and the mentally ill..........

I other words I dont personally want one iota of inconvenience for ME because no one I know has been shot but I DO want to sit around and blame those people who have been shot for not being, well whatever,,,....

Yes if guns do not kill then are they also responsible for failing to protect those who carry them?

We already made it illegal for criminals and the mentally ill to have guns. Problem solved. There's a LAW against it. That'll show em.

I've done that, but I always get a bill of sale with their name and DL number...Then I have some police friends run the SN too make sure it's not stolen.
So that responsibility is on your shoulders and that of the seller. Always cover your a$$.

Enforce? Who said anything about that. That costs money.

Would you buy a used car without getting the title? Would you buy a house without the deed to the home? Some things are common sense and don't need to be a law.
The government is not the answer to everything.

How does that work? You're always a little short on the details. Besides there are over 300 million at minimum out there that are not. Plus lets look the compliance with registration schemes in states that tried it. Dismal. Then, who is going to enforce it?

ATF will enforce it. Most people will register over time as most people are law abiding. We could make you show a registration card to get ammo. Yes there are ways around that and there will always be some who will not comply but eventually most will

Most? Really? The compliance rate for California and most lately NY was absolutely dismal with local LEO's saying they would not enforce it. And how many ATF agents are we looking at here? More liberal fantasy on your part.

Guns, bricks, knives are not people. They require human interaction to harm others.
A gun has never grown legs and fingers and murdered someone.
So only the people who misuse a weapon or any other object to harm others with intent deserve to be held liable.

Bags of ammonium nitrate for fertilizer have been used to blow up buildings. Should fertilizer companies be held liable, or the bomb makers?

The same nonsense with vehicles. One can easily buy a car or motorcycle that does over 180 MPH. If someone buys one of these and uses it recklessly to kill themselves or others, should the manufactures be sued? Of course not.

In Australia, a child can buy a chainsaw (first designed by doctors to cut people) without licence or training. Chainsaws are inherently more dangerous for someone to operate than guns.

But I am for individual accountability. I am for punishing the people who do criminal and negligent acts. In areas with high crime, it is the weak government put in power by morally debased people that allow crime to flourish.

Hasn't worked here and terrorists or criminal don't seem to have a problem obtaining guns.
