Mum, dad and little Johny are shopping, mum says, "I need new shoes if we're going to your cousins wedding, I need red shoes with that outfit you want me to wear and I don't have any. This shop has a pair I like 70% off, only $30". Dad agrees and the shoes are purchased.

A few shops down the mall they pass a golf store. Dad stops, "I need balls" he says."You sure do." Mum says, So dad goes in and buys a tube of 10 balls, "that will be $37.90" says the shop assistant, dad pays and they leave.

Dad says "Ok, we will go and buy the new refrigerator, then get the groceries and we're finished." Mum says, "Johnny needs another shirt for school". Dad shrugs and they go get his shirt, "wow" says mum, "they're reduced to $9.95,I'll get 2". In the white goods store the have another look at the refrigerator they had chosen, the sales man walks over to them smiling, "you really like that one don't you," he says. Dad puts the $1200 on his card and arranges for it to be delivered.

At the checkout in the supermarket, the girl is scanning the last few items, she picks a small toy to scan it, "wait" says mum, "I didn't put that in". Little Johny says "I need it mum"

Mum looks at the price, "$2.95,sorry sweetheart, mummy and daddy can't afford that ",and she tells the operator she doesn't want it

    It's all relative.
