Oh the glaring hypocrisy. You advocate for American troops on Russia's border but when the shoe is on the other foot....it's "oh hell no". How about some good 'ol missiles in Cuba and Russian troops in Tijuana? Yeah, sounds perfect for the idiocy in DC.

 

I doubt you have an idea on how to negotiate with Russia, let alone Putin.

They believe the line is in the wrong place. They believe Clinton(s) were far too harsh on them. They believe that the land in question IS theirs.

We can find ways to raise the cost of them taking action. That's why we have a UN and a NATO. We form alliances, making an economic and military situation that would result from their aggression to simply cost too much for them.

That's what we did in Iran, until Republicans decided to free Iran to do what they want.

The Soviet Union didn't blink. The threat from Khruschev was so that Kennedy would remove our missiles from Turkey, and he did. This is why the Soviet ships turned around and went home. By propagating the falsehood that Russia blinked, we're pushing the American people and the idiots in Washington towards a world war.

The reason the Soviet Union collapsed is for the same reason that the one world order under our hegemony will collapse. Until then though the damage we will do will be immense - as we can see in the Middle East - and as we will be seeing in Europe shortly.

Sure, there's nationalists in Ukraine - who wouldn't want to be a nationalist after the 13 million
people the Russians murdered. And there's pacifist Ukrainians. And there's Communists too.
And Russians who are pround to be Russian but don't like what Putin has done to their Russia.

But most of all - there's many Ukrainians who just want to be Ukrainians, not Russians. And
they see their future in the European Union.

You ruined my day. Here I am jealous of all the young Soldiers we have in the Ukraine now (JAVELIN trainers plus 53d (Infantry) Brigade Combat Team). I have been jealous of them experiencing all the new places they'll see. Now I'm not so sure I'm jealous anymore.

 

And just remember, those 170,000 Russians with armoured vehicles and artillary,
ARE ALL JUST VOLUNTEERS. If you were in the Russian army you could just
declare yourself a 'volunteer' and go borrow a Buk missile launch system, then
