Thornton Heath raised me, and I have pride.

Every Year local busines get together and throw this in September.
    Think Notting Hill for kids.
with food and soft drinks and games and toys, and whatever the Chinese Herbal Place puts up at their tent.

My Britain. the Suburbs I call home.

    Flags galore here.

Then there's Brixton, a 250/109 bus ride away and 'the town over' coming out with The Clash

I suppose victims of the increased hate crime rates might think otherwise...

You're not in my Britain, you have no pride, no happiness.
I see what you mean, others in more racist areas use it as a sign of racism.
But then, this is what the outside world looks like to me; It's a piece of ****.

Even that chocolate factory in Belgium I was heavily disappointed...

So... I mean, IDK, made sure the coach didn't leave me in that country en route back to London where upon arrival was walking around Soho at midnight re getting used to England, having a home coming of my own.

I merely refer to reality. Which BBC3 nostalgia have you been watching?

No, you're trying to burst my bubble with your trouble forgetting it's not in Soho or Thornton Heath.
And no, I actually haven't, I've been watching Guitar Heros at the BBC on BBC Four... It's a rerun/says Tom Petty is still alive, but I've been watching that this week.

Not me! I'm happy that you think Dick Van Dyke's accent is a real representation of Britain. I like to think that you're happy. God bless!

    @Reiver
About me, not that you asked, but is true and unchanged....

    Right...
Slash, Jimi Hendrix and all of that is My Britain, and I don't give a f' where they were born or where they live.
    We all know Soho right...

    R.I.P Jimi...

And outside of that I go through Brixton to get to Thornton Heath underneath/south of Streatham & Norbury.
    I consider myself lucky.
    To have a British Passport.

    I like Tom Petty.
    But I'm a raver.

    I like bleeps and beats
Records with no names on them. That sort of thing.

Partied in Brixton quite a few times back in the 90's.
Don't really go out much in London any more.

Still do the odd club night, lol about once a year, or maybe every other year.

Well actually, this is what my Britain feels like behind non rose tinted glasses I'm wearing.

I even saw them filming this on my way home from the train station when I was working on The Gherkin.
I was wearing my construction gear on a phone to a member of my Ebony Lesbian crew I knew from Soho who lived in Luton.
    -my Britain's fun.

My sister now an American went to school at the Brit School and every year still to this day, let the kids from this local school go to this Show in Earl's Court as a tradition.
So, yes, you hit home and firmly touched on my Britain there @Reiver.
You're also talking to the construction bloke who dug up Abbey Road Studio's garden last year.
    This is home to me.
