This is the funniest thing I've ever seen and this is supposed to be "news"? A deranged politician thinks the Governor "prayed" for a disaster? "News"? I think it far more lends itself to question the mental stability of the New Jersey Senate President. However with that being said, the media that fawned over Christie for his sweet moments with Obama helping him get elected, now turn on him and bite him right on that big fat ass. I have only two words for him "Arlen Specter". Specter thought the grass was greener on the Democrat side, but they shot him out of the torpedo tube to use as fake debris. (In WWII when Subs were under depth charge attack, they would stuff the torpedo tubes with junk from the ship and fire it out so the ships above thought they scored a hit and stopped depth charging). I think this is only the start of the media attacks on Christie. He should just consider it his "Thanks Bub" for his helping Obama just before the election. I think being blunt made him a public figure, being stupid will help him fade away.

are they trying to make people forget about the true liberal feeling about Sandy, brought to you by Chris Mathews, stating "im so glad we had that storm" ?????

liberals think Christie "may have" prayed for it, liberals though "DID" want it and glad they got it.

Look at the content of what he said. Cristie "prayed" for the disaster! If Christie can conjure up a super storm through prayer, that NJ Senate ass clown better hope Christie doesn't "pray" for him to get hit by lightening!!!...........multiple times. I can't believe nuts like that actually get elected. [IMG]

This Democrat's ridiculous comment will likely not make the national evening news....like Todd Akin's and Ryan Murdough's ridiculous comments did....IMMEDIATELY upon their utterance.

Of course the news would ignore it, judging by his statements New Jersey has a apparent crackpot for a Senate President.

I'm sure Christy did pray for it since it allowed him to express his man-love for Obama.

You have lost your mind, or you're listening to too much "so called conservative" media

They weren't happy it happened, and if most liberals could have stopped it, they would have.

Were Obama's campaign strategists happy they could capitalize on it?....sure!...and that's what they're supposed to do, and that's what the Republicans would have done if they could.

Ann Coulter said it best when she begged Chrsity to run.

Coulter to Christy: "You need to run for president, because if you don't, Mitt Romney will, and we'll lose"

Oh how correct she was, and she isn't often correct.

The part I find funny is the fact that the Democrats thought this nut job was a good person for State Senate President.

I agree. Chris Christie is establishing himself (whether he wants to or not) in contrast to the changing Republican Party with regards to the 2016 elections quite like Jon Huntsman did in the 2012 elections. Unfortunately, if he does throw his hat into the race, the media will do a complete one-eighty and begin critiquing him for his weight, his socially conservative positions regarding abortion, gay marriage, and drug policy, and possibly how he is opinionated and seemingly uncivil.

Retrospectively speaking, Mitt Romney was not a bad Republican Presidential candidate. Where he failed was in executing electoral strategy. He was too passive in debunking the critiques of his primary competitors. He was too late in shifting to the center of the political spectrum. In other words, he violated the maxim, "leave no shot unanswered" and failed at the practice of "etch-a-sketch-ing".

Christians often pray for storms or other misfortunes to befall others instead of themselves.

Its what Jesus would do, isn't it?

Why don't you make up YOUR mind - unless you get your opinions from the Chris Mathews - you say " They weren't happy it happened' then you say " Were Obama's campaign strategists happy they could capitalize on it?....sure!...and that's what they're supposed to do,". Doesn't that mean that the whole world of dems were HAPPY!! to have death and destruction for BH Obama to use in his campaign?

Your Senate leader is still using Sandy by saying that it was ten times worse than Katrina when only a fool or a person who thinks he is talking to fools would make such a statement.

Is that all Soros has for you today?? Why not tell us when and where you saw a lot of christians praying for bad things to happen to others?

Clearly - by looking at Chris Mathews - you can see the cold blooded nature of the liberal/progressive horde. The dems are still rubbing their hands together as the congressional dems try to rip off the tax payers with the Sandy recovery bills. The insurance industry estimates that Sandy will cost $20B so the Senate asks for $60B, most of which is just pork.

It's to be expected. Cons have been praying fervently for Obama to die for 4 years now, although I don't think that Christie is one of those.

You're right that it could've been hyperbole, but, it was still a stupid thing to say...

FYI, you are not a spokesperson for Democrats. This was a stupid statement, and will most likely cost him politically.

How can you participate in a political forum and be so ignorant of recent events?
    Educate yourself.
    Pray for Obama. Psalm 109:8
Look it up. Right-wingers and the christian right have been floating this little turd for years.
You may even have it on a bumper sticker on your car.
It's pretty common in certain areas.
