Meaningless stock phrases out of the Liberal playbook make me chuckle and smirk and move onto something more worthwhile!

There is NOTHING in the least bit worthwhile in the cult worship of the BLOTUS.

Replying-by-meme is one of the prime markers of intellectual laziness, over-simplification, and pre-trolling. Good smother-and-move.

I have consistently opposed impeachment, and am quite content with an inexorable, protracted exposure of the truths that some are desperate to conceal.

How about disproving or finding arguments as to why what I posted is wrong? Too hard?

Don't want to put them Democrat Congress-schmucks under unnecessary risk, not knowing how the Americans will truly react to this three-ring circus? You and Pelosi too... I understand. Very shrewd... not.

Congress is still on recess by the way.

But there is little reason to rush the impeachment when Trump has made the "let's make the obstruction charge all the more obvious" strategy decision.

There is nothing in the US-Constitution that says that a full House vote to have an impeachment inquiry is necessary. I hate to inform you of this, but the formal impeachment inquiry is already well under-way, it was clearly announced by Speaker of the US-House of Representatives on 09/24:

    https://theresurgent.com/2019/09/24/pelosi-announces-impeachment-inquiry/

Hope that helps to clear up your obvious confusion. You are welcome!

I understand why Trump is doing what he is doing in regards to congress, but i think they need to give a little.. give the info they want to give but a blanket stonewalling of congress i think is a bad strategy.

The internals to that poll are especially damning for Trump:

2019-10-008 FOX Poll Trump impeachment and removal.png

2019-10-008 FOX Poll Trump impeachment and removal internals 001.png

According to FOX, among women voters overall, it's 57% impeachment AND removal, 37% against, +21. Among WHITE women, it's 50% for / 43% against, +7. Among suburban women, it's 57% for / 34% against, +23.

Also, among Independent voters (among whom FOX is always Weltmeister in finding record numbers of "undecided" Independents when compared to other pollsters), it's -8, which can only mean that Independents, as a whole in the poll, were a smaller percentage than we usually think.

But it should be clear from the poll that Trump has utterly lost women, and just in line with his approval-disapproval polling and election head-ups, he is in the hole among women by at least 20 points, if not considerably more. But he's also lost white women, which is making for the major statistic among suburban women as well, and in Suburbia (an erstwhile GOP bastion).

And let's just remember, FOX tends to flatten the internals. My estimate is that we are closer to 60% for impeachment than most people think. FOX tends to be 4 points to the right almost all the time. There is a built-in mathematical Conservative bias in their polling, it has been this way ever since they started polling.

The current situation by definition is unprecedented, which does seem to be true. Regardless of that, the investigation does seem to be authorized by the House Rules.

Each committee may conduct at any time such investigations and studies as it considers necessary or appropriate in the exercise of its responsibilities under rule X.

    https://rules.house.gov/sites/democrats.rules.house.gov/files/documents/116-House-Rules-Clerk.pdf

    (Rule XI(1)(b)(1), page 16)

In turn, Rule X includes in the judiciary committee's responsibilities matters relating to "Subversive activities affecting the internal security of the United States" (Rule X(1)(l)(19)).

The constitution provides in Article I, section 5, that "Each House may determine the Rules of its Proceedings...," so really the only entity that can require the House of Representatives to pass a resolution before embarking on an impeachment inquiry is the House of Representatives itself.

I'm very excited to find out the results of ALL the inquiries. I think many things will come to light once we ALL delve into the the misdoings of our political lords.

I think you are not understanding this. You see, an impeachment inquiry is NOT a trial. I will repeat this easy-to-understand fact: an impeachment inquiry is NOT a trial. It is the fact-finding for deciding whether or not to file an indictment, very similar to the work of a grand-jury.

If there is a full House vote on the Articles of Impeachment (and this IS going to happen), then those passed articles go to the Senate, where there IS a trial and there is where the "opposition" you describe gets to defend itself.

It's in the Constitution. All you have to do is to read it.

I would think very strongly that any circumstances warranting the US HOR to even consider impeachment must be in and of themselves unprecedented.
Your links and quote are excellent and back up exactly what I said.

And I agree especially with your last sentence: daylight is the best disinfectant of all.
