Well, "lied" is a bit strong. More like she misspoke or made an error.

She said that the NY AG filed a civil suit against Trump and his Foundation of sweeping violations of campaign finance laws, self-dealing and illegal coordination with the presidential campaign. But she was wrong. It was not a civil suit. It was a criminal suit.

But the right let Rachel off the hook. Why?

    LOL!!!

A sitting President can not be sued.

And the NY AG can go pound sand!

He can be sued he just can't be prosecuted while in office.

You can save them all up if you like and hit him all at once when he moves out of the WH.

If you feel its really necessary you can impeach him to get him out then sue him.

NY AG is just trying to bog the Trump family down in bullshit.

While these corrupt TDS stricken *******s play their little games real people suffer because the courts that are supposed to sort out our problems are populated by bigots too busy dicking around with their anti-Trump crusade to give a damn about the rest of us.

Every day there are thousands of white-collar crimes being committed putting normal people in real financial troubles.

But where are the courts when justice is needing to be served? ...they're devoting the entirety of resources at their command to figuring out how much Trump paid for a ****ing painting.

I've got an employee who was once ripped off by a former landlord to the tune of almost ten thousand dollars.

Long boring legal story short, the ability to track the landlords obviously criminal activities was as simple as pulling LLC records and comparing bank statements.

Except it took the courts over 2 years to even bring the case which was then put on hold because the landlord filed a bankruptcy.

It took a bit less than 2 more years to finalize the bankruptcy that the trustee and the estates lawyer declared fraudulent from day 1.

It then took 3 more years to bring the original case back around to its completion.

The verdict gave the landlord 2 more years on top of that to make installment payments back to my employee even though the fraudulent bankruptcy demonstrated the landlord had more than sufficient access to cash to pay it off.

Shes just started the second year of that 2 year payment period and told me that even if the landlord finishes making the payments (which if he doesn't then the State will basically leave the bill hanging and ignore it) then the State will sit on the money for up to a year without paying interest on it.

So yea, almost a decade to fix something that should have taken no longer than a few months.

But by all means lets have our courts devoting every waking hour and every budgeted dollar to TDS butthurt.

    ****ing disgusting.

This world is against you, brother. The best you can do is crawl deep down in to the tinfoil lined bunker until Trump dismantles the Deep State and sets you free.

Its interesting because a charity sold the painting and supposedly Trump used charity money to pay for it. So it that means he used charity money to help another charity but gained something out of it.

There isnt much info in the article on how the foundation was used to help the campaign. Most of these charities are about PR and tax right offs. Other people donate and the company gets to do a tax write off for other peoples donations.

So are they claiming that the PR is illegal use of charity for the political campaign or did they actually misuse funds? There have been a lot of bs loawsuits aimed at Trump so at this point I am more inclined to think the lawsuit is complete bs but I will keep an open mind.

That might be because it IS a civil suit. But the AG's office made referrals to the Federal Election Commission and the IRS.

Both make sense given that the allegation is that the Foundation was used to electioneer and hide payments both into the campaign and out of it. It functioned as a slush fund.

Moreover, if the allegations are correct, many people hid campaign contributions by laundering them through the Foundation, which means that they may have taken charitable deductions to a fake charity, and made illegal campaign contributions. I doubt that some of these people want their names revealed at trial.

Not true. A sitting president can be sued for something that occurred before he became President.

Supreme Court ruling in Clinton v Jones.
