News Limited Attempting To Rig The Election

Murdoch via his news limited media empire are doing their best to discredit the current government. His main area of interest would have to be the NBN as has been noted numerous times before. He knows that the Internet will whittle away at his profits as more and more people are able to access faster and more stable Internet access. The Internet is growing ever more popular than watching TV or reading print media, which will be exacerbated by the NBN. WHO WILL LOSE......Mr Murdoch and sons. They want to stymie the NBN as much as is possible, in fact they would love to stop it dead in its tracks!

Now Fony Abbott couldn't win over the independents by promising everything but the selling of his arse! They weren't stupid enough to fall for his self interested, ego-centric tricks! So his next obvious step was to sell his soul(maybe his arse too) to news limited. Abbott and cronies were so anti NBN it couldn't be understood, there was this shallow argument that the copper network was sufficient in the short term without any consideration for costs to install optic fibre further down the track, especially in the instance that Australia would finds itself lagging behind other advanced economies.

This guy would sacrifice the well being of all Australians collectively for the mantle of PM. He has demonstrated this time and time again with lies, deception and innuendo, and has Murdoch to thank for his current position.

Don't let this guy nor Murdoch fool us with deception and half truths, this guy will set Australia back years if he gets a hold of our economy and fulfils the demands of news limited.

Murdoch never does anything out of ideology - it is only out of self-interest. In 1972 he had his Australian newspaper editorial support the ALP (Whitlam) in the federal election. He knew that the McMahon government was a failure and the only option was Whitlam. He will always pursue self-interest.

The NBN terrifies the media. The Coalition want to destroy it so Murdoch will support that policy position for his own commercial interests. Malcolm's plan is flawed and in no way is as useful as the NBN. If the Coalition wins government and if it destroys the NBN it will be the single greatest act of Ludditism since Stalin.

 

So when Murdoch and Rhinehart voice their opinion they are trying to rigg the election and manipulate our thinking but when you spew forth torrents of Labour/Green rhetoric, propaganda, slogans and banners and relentlessly attack Tony Abbott and the the coalition you are not? It's that ol' word again TV, hypocrisy.

 

A learned person would know that Robert Mann has already done it in convincing style. Read his essay from "The Quarterly" series. It's utterly damning and not seriously refutable.

Perhaps "rigging" is too strong a word, but they're certainly very biased, even outside of the opinion columns.

I actually thought the NBN was a dead-issue. But then again, the Libs will probably get in with such force that they'll be able to do whatever they want. They'll privatise it (and screw it up again, like they did Telstra) and make it cost more or be less capable/encompassing.

When have I said I think the 'elites' have too much power? The simple fact is that some people are able to broadcast their opinions much more widely than others. That's life baby. Do you think, even for one second that if TV had the influence of Murdoch that he would not use it to the max to support his own views? He is a blatant hypocrite.
