Ouch! I guess the truth hurts. NPR is hurt or butt hurt that Musk is telling the truth.

Most media outlets are just propaganda pushers for the left.....or really the oligarchs who control the left.

Oligarchs are using the media to manipulate society. They gave up on using conservatism and decided to go with the liberal progressivism idealism because it is so easy to bend and shape it as needed to gain power.

Musk bought Twitter and has stumbled upon the scary truth. The media is corrupt. How else can things like corrupt elections be covered up?

This is stupid. Google has been slapping NPR, CBC, BBC, etc with a notification that they are government funded/affiliated for a while now and they never complained about it. I look forward to them quitting YouTube and Google. This is just unjustified anti-Musk nonsense. There's a very simple way to remove the label, reject government funding.

As more and more companies reduce ad spends and others just completely exit we will see Twitter turn into more of a place for porn and trolls instead of the global communication platform it once was.

Elon was seeming to be spiraling but I have largely been ignoring his personal rants.

NPR posted this on Twitter to tell their followers where to find them:

    Screenshot_20230418_222849_Brave - Beta.jpg

NPR also has a YouTube channel. They intentionally did not list that. Why? Perhaps because YouTube has been slapping their channel with a notification of their government affiliation for a while now and they're completely hypocritical. No big loss for Twitter.

"Government-funded media entity embarrassed to be called government-funded media entity" sounds like an Onion article title, but no... this is happening in real life. And liberal lemmings are quickly and predictably offended.

Don't look now, but within 3 months, words 3-5 of this thread title will be the OFFICIAL name of this dying platform...

People say it was good while it lasted...

Have you considered voicing your displeasure on Twitter?

Na, I don’t really use social media except for my companies and that’s pretty much contained to Facebook for the boomers.

Also, displeasure is the wrong word — I am enjoying watching Elon show the world what conservatism and conspiracy does to the human male brain. He went from admirable goals to memes for incels and men that never matured.

First: He isn’t the richest man in the world

Second: Do you believe money prevents people from spiraling? Or depression? Or paranoia? Or have you elevated them to god status?

Real Men of genius..... Sounds like that's something they should have stuck with in their marketing department.

Decades from now they will teach about this blunder in Business School

Why would telling the truth about NPR in applying the legal that fits them despite them wanting to be dishonest about it equate to people leaving the platform?

If anything a platform that's more honest is going to attract more users.

Last I knew Tesla and SpaceX are not claiming to be news agencies, unlike NPR. But your deflection is noted.

    He’s actually 6th
    https://www.forbes.com/real-time-billionaires/#4daf3bc63d78

And that is if several dynasties and sheiks are ignored

At this point is it’s just embarrassing how often you assert something as fact that isn’t. Statistics hold you would have accidentally been correct about something by now.

I disagree but you are entitled to your opinion

    Dodge noted

Maybe he should and we would see that virtually all of these large companies receive some type of federal or state funding. Including Fox and MSNBC

You can't even read your own link.
    Too funny

Dynasties are not men. Shieks are the head of tribes and total family wealth lol
    But you didn't know that
Did you want to throw in governments now as well. lol

But Musk is 6th, and Dynasties and Shieks are men. lol

Says the guy who just stated Musk is 6th

According to your own link, Musk is 2nd. Unfortunately, you have to do more than just look at the pictures. But as of last month, he moved to 1st ahead of Arnault.
Which is the link I provided you.

Oh do tell, how is a guy worth 184 billion spiraling.

Why act so offended? Google has been doing this for some time now. You don't seem to mind.

It is Musk's attempt to label organizations as "government-funded" to show that they are the least controversial based on a report from a group, that cannot remember, which news organizations were the most controversial and least controversial in their reports. NPR was the least controversial. It is why Musk labeled not only NPR, but USA Today, Newsweek, and a few others. But technically, yes, NPR is government funded, partially, but most of its funding comes from fees and dues from its member's stations if not all, nonprofit organizations that subscribe to NRR. More direct government-funded news organizations include Voice of America and other similar radio programs across the world. But I guess Musk won't label them, will he?
