Is that what the insurance policy says now? Did the NRA change its policy to avoid being fined again?
It's what it's always said. I gave you that information, with links to the actual documents, in post #88.
From a letter that New York's governor recently sent to other governors: "I write to inform you of one action that New York has recently taken to uphold our laws and stand up to the gun-peddling agenda of the NRA. We discovered that the NRA was marketing insurance products for gun owners that violated numerous state laws. Insurers such as Chubb Ltd. and a broker Lockton Affinity, LLC. were providing illegal insurance coverage to gun owners for intentional criminal conduct resulting in bodily harm through the NRA’s Carry Guard program." https://www.governor.ny.gov/sites/governor.ny.gov/files/atoms/files/GAMC_Letter_to_Governors.pdf.pdf
I understand what he wrote. It's simply not the truth. If the insured was found guilty, Carry Guard did not give them any money.
Why? The insurance could also protect an innocent person charged with a crime that they didn't commit. Why don't you want justice for anyone but the rich. Here's what NY said: "DFS said the Carry Guard program “improperly provided” coverage in any criminal proceeding against the policyholder including coverage for bail money, premiums on bonds, attorney consultation fee and retainer expenses, expenses incurred for the investigation or defense of criminal charges, and costs taxed against the insured or the insured’s resident family member in a criminal proceeding arising out of a shooting." None of this happens after the accused is found guilty, but prior to the trial. Why doesn't NY support the presumption of innocence as is typical in American jurisprudence?
There is no debate to be had with people willing to say anything, no matter how dishonest, derogatory, or offensive, to push their agenda to attack the Constitution. That is the very definition of the gun control movement.
Cuomo is a lying sack of feces. A totalitarian, self-absorbed, self-righteous megalomaniac who holds the Constitution in abject contempt. He should be in prison for his actions.
I come here to counter the dishonesty of the antigun shills who post such nonsense here. I gave up on helping them see sense a long time ago; their purposeful ignorance is astonishing. Their current campaign of disinformation and denigration, shrieking in rage, is the mark of desperation, and all I'm interested in doing is pointing out that reality. I fully understand why you would want to hide from that.
The letter does not cite any specific portion of the insurance policies that relates to intentional criminal conduct resulting in bodily harm. It makes a claim, but it provides absolutely no proof of what the accusation relates to.
It's unbelievably unbelievable that people believe this. I don't believe people believe this, but it's okay if people believe that they themselves believe that.
It does not appear the NRA is actually suffering from any financial trouble that puts its current existence at risk.
The NRA has a massive GDP. The donations to the NRA are insane. I'm a Bulgarian-Macedon-Italian and I donate too from abroad lol. No way they can bring the NRA down. The membership is not much but imagine how many people we are, donating together.
