https://www.yahoo.com/finance/news/...up-warns-in-fundraising-letter-194322998.html they spend too much. membership has gone down. revenue is down. membership dues have gone down. they can't even afford coffee for their employees. their business-model is not sustainable and they keep over-spending. bye bye.
The Democrat party would love that because their gun control schemes are all designed to harass the NRA. I prefer the SAF to become the preeminent pro rights organization or even the GOA.
Spent the Russian money though https://www.abc.net.au/radio/progra...ning/maria-butina-russian-in-the-nra/10950764
She knows they support gun rights in a country she neither lives in nor votes in, but that is enough for her to hate them.
Is it honestly believed on the part of yourself that if the NRA truly shut down, another group that does the same thing would not rise up to take its place? There is no shortage of individuals in the united states willing lobby on behalf of the second amendment, firearms ownership, firearm-related freedoms and the like. If the NRA goes down, more organizations will rise up, and they will adopt an even more hard-right stance that would make the NRA look moderate in comparison.
Ayuh,..... Progressive fake news,...... This is about the progressive authoritarian king andy in new yok, over steepin' his bounds,.... Nothin' more,...... nothin' less,...... Nationally, the NRA is growin' bigger, 'n stronger day by day,.....
If the GOA stays out of partisan politics and focuses solely on gun rights advocacy I would support them. The NRA is off the rails when it comes to moderate gun owners like myself.
moderate gun owners? people who own guns but vote for anti gun politicians since things like welfare socialism, gay rights or abortion is more important to them than gun rights?
Funny - the only gun restriction that has been passed in the last 10 years (bump stock ban) was signed by President Donald Trump. Obama didn't sign one bill that restricted guns. But whatever. Light your hair on fire and run around screaming the sky is falling.
Ding, ding, ding, we have a winner. The NRA talking points regurgitation has commenced. Not only did Obama NOT enact any gun restrictive bills, he actually approved carrying in National Parks and on AMTRAK.
Oops..... "Congress on Wednesday approved the first gun rights bill of the new Republican-controlled Washington, voting to erase an Obama administration regulation that would have forced Social Security to scour its lists and report some of its beneficiaries to the firearms no-buy list." https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2017/feb/15/senate-votes-undo-obama-administration-gun-rule/
So much misinformation out there and so much liberal hope. https://www.washingtonpost.com/busi...hundreds-thousands-new-members/?noredirect=on BTW, I thought the recent narrative was the Russians were funneling money to the NRA, now they are about to collapse...hmm, who to believe, those that refer to N AR15, as a military assault weapon, a gun never been used by the military and one without selective fire, a criteria critical for an assault weapon definition? Sure, ok. let me know when pigs grow wings..
That's mostly because things like GOA and FPC are around now and the NRA has been around long enough that even the Fudds are starting to not be able to ignore their abysmal record on supporting gun rights.
Which isn't half as bad as what Turnip has pulled with the bump stock executive re-write of statutory definitions. Yes yes, Obama was an *******: so is Trump.
As anyone touting Trump as a supporter of the 2a forgets his executive re-write or his making Dianne Feinstein cream her panties for the first time in 30 years by saying he was into taking guns first due process second or numerous other pox marks on his record. Those who overlook such pox marks are going to end up with the dick rot themselves.
Donald Trump re-wrote the definition of machinegun by executive fiat. He's a ****ing democrat is what he is.
As opposed to the ATF deciding that firearms designed with an open-bolt operation qualify as fully-automatic due to the ease of which they can be modified to become fully-automatic?
The ATF, which is rightfully reviled and whose behavior is considered by those of us with braincells left to rub together for heat to be unconstitutional in that regard? That ATF? Is that who you're making that apples to apples comparison to Donald Trump banning bump stocks of? Because I'd tend to agree. Trump is no friend to the 2nd amendment, he's said so. Loudly. Multiple times. For YEARS. Come off it.
