P.S., here's a suggestion: maybe the dummy Repub voters will wise up and start voting for Congress Critters who will do their duty and participate on writing major pieces of legislation. It's time to kick the grandstanding dipwads to the curb and elect intelligent adults to Congress.

Someone once accurately described Fox News as right wing talk radio with pictures.

That certainly is thier business model.

We know from former Fox employees how the system works too. Talking points are manufactured by management (right down to specific wording and turn of phrase) and presenters (one can hardly call them journalists) are instructed to work them into their monologues, and even to repeat key phrases so many times each hour. Talking points on Fox are worked the same way disc jockeys used to work playlists.

The network has a reputation for extremly sloppy and dishonest news reporting. The sloppiness comes from the fact that most of their staffers are right out of school or have little field experience. They don't get paid much. Fox is very cheap, and they don't want to waste thier money on news gathering. Which is why Fox has the least number of foreign correspondants.

Of course, the sloppiness and dishonesty are also corporate policy. This is a network that went to court to defend its right to mislead its audience.

And it's audience likes being misled. No matter how often Fox gets exposed for shopping lies ,or how often their pundit's predictions turn out to be totally ridiculous, the audience comes back for more.

Fox News is not run by a seasoned journalist, or a media executive. It's run by Roger Ailes, a former Republican polical operative (the guy behind the "Willie Horton" ad). At one point in the 2012 election cycle, Fox had every single GOP Presidential candidate except Mitt Romney on its payroll, essentially paying them to campaign for themselves on a national television network.

There is nothing remotely objective or balance about that.

Fox knows this. They know that thier audience isn't interested in news. It's interested in having its mindset validated.

And Fox makes a lot of money off of that audience.

And that's all Roger Ailes cares about.

 

And that excludes pretty much every right wing anti American loser.

I understand what you mean about these republicans need to come up with plan B because healthcare is here to stay, so we need a better more efficient system. I would vote for a tax on all goods and services that paid for healthcare for everyone, keep it simple

Using another administration as an example is making an excuse, this thread is about Obama and no one else. BTW, name another president that singled out a news source and continually criticized them as Obama has done with FOX?

 

Wait a few years until folks start getting hit with a $675 penalty for not paying monthly premiums for health insurance. Then they'll realize Obamacare doesnt ALLOW people to buy insurance, it FORCES people to participate or pay a healthy fine.

Health care for older Americans will be paid for by the young. But they're too dumb to realize that yet.
