The one's that called themselves protestants and sided with slavery were WRONG. The protestants that let the underground railroad were on the right side of this issue. The protestants that spoke against it in their churches were on the right side of this issue. The Protestants who took the lead in fighting against slavery were on the right side of the issue. And protestants today should be on the right side of the issue fighting against racism. Because there was worse racism in our country's history doesn't mean we should accept the lesser racism today. That fight has already been fought and we can't fight it but we can fight what is going on today. Protestants should fight racism, whether it comes from the KKK or Black Liberation Theology.
