Anyone who would characterize Obama or Romney as "progressive" doesn't know the meaning of the word.

To be honest, the term statist bests suits them. Of course, we play these word games. They began with socialist, but then that fell out of favor and turned to the label liberal. Then the term liberal fell out of favor and now they use the term progressive. In fact, they even branched out to the term conservative with "W". So now that the terms progressive and conservative are being soiled what is next guys? Will it be the "enlightened ones"?

Republicans will always fight to win an election for a Republican candidate no matter the candidate. I"m not a Republican.

I once bought into the whole myth that the GOP is the lesser of two evils, but after reviewing the damage "W" did to the notion of conservatism I'm left wondering if this is really true. As a result, I don't think I can force myself to vote for Mitt.
