Be honest, would all of you progressive democrats and republicans be somewhat exited about an Obama/Romney ticket? Instead of running progressives against each other, why not just let them combine forces and become a crushing duo for anyone who dare cross their path?

Together they have more money and support from the elite than God.

LMFAO! Besides the point that Romney is the direct opposite of a progressive with his capitalist background, perhaps you would be willing to change your mind by calling obama a capitalist. I see the kool aid is flowing full force these daze.

It's a pretty crazy day when the Republican Party has become so fringe, so right wing, that it's calling members of it's own party progressives. Just shows how far the political balance has shifted in the party.

Not that much, but I have been putting in an inordinate amount of time here at PF trying to teach liberals how the ideologies of progressivism/socialism have failed everywhere they've been tried. How do you think I'm doing with the teaching, or better yet, how do you think my class of novice liberal ideologues are doing with the learning? :brainless:

probably not that well, as their teacher demonstrates his "conservatism" by promoting big government corporatists.

Government corporatists? Another misnomer. While there are few corporations that do lie in bed with big government, I tend to favor and support the other 99% that use the capitalist system devoid of big govt to energize our economy.

No but the incredible stupidity of the post is intriquing. Besides, when you're busy working on being a little dictator you want a vice-president as pitiful as Joe Biden for the sympathy support.

I heard Obama is going to spend around one billion dollars on his campaign. I suppose this money is going to come from average folks. In the interim, corporations like GE can continue to enjoy living tax free. Keep drinking the cool aid.

I suppose it all boils down to what the term "progressive" means.

As for myself, I interpret it to mean the continued push toward centralized control. This means empowering the federal government and large corporate America.

I really don't see much difference between the two candidates. Both will push to lower taxes, heck Obama has already done that and both will continue the insane spending. My guess is that the progressive push is to crash the system so they can implement a more centralized global economy of some kind.

Of course, the other global push is to take out countries like Iran who stand in the way of further globalization and centralization. Either Obama or Romney will do the job.

And then there is Obamacare. Romney did all the leg work for that program. Obama should be licking his boots for that little favor.

Say what? Who is the original poster? Does anyone know or care whether he is a former Republican or a RINO in sheeps clothing. I'm asking which known Republicans are calling other Repubs progressives? I haven't heard of any.

Mainstream Republicans will not call other republicans progressives, even though I think a few have referred to themselves as progressives, like McCain.

What drives me insane, however, are people who call politicians like "W" a conservative. What in the blazes is conservative about the man? He enacted one of the biggest entitlements in US history and drown us all in debt and increased the size of government.

I suppose you could say that he was conservative because he lowered taxes and opposed abortion. All I can say is that there is precious little difference between raising taxes and increasing spending. In the end, someone will have to pay. As for abortion, alot of good that so called position did for those that opposed abortion. He just took the stand to get the Christian right rubber stamp of approval while government like Obama.

But yet he was used to poisen the minds of Americans against conservatism.

I really don't see much difference in Mitt. Of course, the "anyone but Obama" people will be out in droves come November. If he wins, will they then turn a blind eye calling him a conservative like they did "W"? I say yes they will.

I just can't take anymore of this crap.

No doubt about that, it's the one policy that every politician agrees on.
