The title I gave it is less than serious, but it does bring up a interesting but strange dichotomy. Conservatives sometimes accuse him of wanting amnesty despite the deportations and some on the left would like him to stop with all the deportations. Someone smell a disconnect here among the right?

They also say he's for big taxes even though their taxes are lower under Obama then they have ever been.

    *shrug* You can't fix stupid.

Well that's the funny thing about partisan hackery, you have to ignore reality for it to work.

    Uncle Onyango deported yet?

Or is he going to get the same treatment that his other, (known atm), Illegal Alien relative, recieved?

If he deports this one , single high profile case...I'll give him a thumbs up. He already passed on Zeitunei, lets see how Onyango goes.

Until then, the numbers are just numbers on a page...much like jobs saved or created.

Of course you are, but let me be a bit more blunt.

This thread is absolute comedy gold...unintended for sure..but comedy gold none the less.

You start a thread trying to Champion Obama on Illegal immigration and Deportations, yet he has 2 Illegal Alien relatives, (that we know of so far), who refused to leave when ordered..and are still here in America and taking advantage of our system.

How could that not have entered your mind before starting a thread like this, on this subject matter? And then when mentioned...you don't know what I could possibly be getting at??

Honestly...you might as well start another thread praising Bill Clinton for his Military Service at this point, as this would be just as valid.

    As I said..Comedy Gold.

I'm not "praising" him on anything. Also it's a bit odd that you're completely downplaying that he's going to pass Bush on deportations when some would like us to believe that Obama would like to make each and every one of them citizens right now for the votes. It's comical. But as you said, it's just numbers on a page. Who cares what they mean right?

If you believe the numbers they present on all these nameless faceless deportations, while seeing him take a pass on two very high profile, easy to watch cases....well..thats your call.

It's irrelevant how many people "Obama" deports.

He's not doing (*)(*)(*)(*) to prevent them from getting here in the first place.

Everyone pretty much knows that those illegals that are here, will probably hide well enough to stay here in some fashion and it's too cost ineffective to cattle car them up and send them chugging back to Mexico.

Until I see verifiable statistics that show that the hundreds of thousands of people who manage to sneak across the border each year is cut down to a trickle of a few tens of thousands a year, then Obama isn't doing (*)(*)(*)(*).

If you have a more accurate figure, I'd be happy to take a look at it.

What's the point? US Border Patrol states that around 2,741 illegal immigrants cross the border every single day.

I want that number dropped to a few dozen..

Is Obama going to give me that?

Well... the whole thread is a strawman in a strawman.

    1. The right is not known for praising GWB for his immigration policies.
    2. Nobody said that Barak wants amnesty (well... except for his relatives), I haven't seen a thread in well over a year that questioned amnesty intentions.

I see a lot of "we aren't doing (*)(*)(*)(*) to shore up the borders".

I saw that under GWB too.

I see a lot of "Mexican drug cartels are killing US citizens and we aren't doing (*)(*)(*)(*) about it."

    Which appears to be true.

I see a lot of "Fast and furious WTF?" threads... and... well... WTF?

I rarely do this, but I call thread fail.

Isn't the strange dichotomy that he is indeed granting amnesty by executive order (against the will of Congress and the majority of people), that amnesty will benefit more than a million, that ultimately it will cost taxpayers more, that ultimately amnesty will only lead to more illegal immigration, that natural born citizens will now have to compete even harder for benefits of all sorts?

Sure I can give his administration props for the deportations, but amnesty is a massive slap in the face to natural born citizens, and not beneficial to this nation at all. We don't need any more immigrants for any reason, we already have everything we need. We need to deport them as we find them, and amend the 14th.

Heres one, he has 2 well known Illegal Alien relatives...they arent going anywhere. Theres his real stance on the issue.

Anything else pales in significance compared to that obvious allowance.

Then do it. Put up or shut up. Don't allude to a refutation... refute it.
I mean... there was a small bump last month, a couple of threads with 2 or 3 replies because the administration said it was no longer deporting IAs unless they commit other crimes... and they fought the states enacting tougher immigration laws... and he speaks often about the ambiguous "immigration reform"... so there are some hits... but most are not on "the right", they are conspiracy guys.

Beating GWB's deportation of illegals is not a high bar... and he certainly intimates a softness on illegal immigration in both words and deed. Dream act anyone?

My point is... for the amount of things he has done and said which fringe amnesty... it is not a rallying cry. He IS soft on illegal immigration. He DID push* (I originally wrote "pass") the DREAM act. He has done NOTHING to secure our borders, even though people are being killed, he ISN'T deporting unless associated with some OTHER crimes, and even then only after WE have punished them first... unless of course that punishment is the death penalty for bludgeoning children to death... then he wants that punishment stopped and to deport...

What exactly are you complaining about? We are too vocal about the truth? Or not vocal enough about GWB's abysmal failure with illegal immigration?

Cause I will stand on that soap box if you want. Spending like a drunken sailor and impotent when it comes to illegal immigration, Mexican illegal affinity specifically. That I can do.

Bush was so soft on Immigration it was disgusting, but like Obama, he had family concerns of his own I think. LOL
