It only does so to those suffering from envy.

So why won't you answer the question, why hasn't Obama just asked the wealthy to send in more money which he says is his plan?

I wouldn't know. It doesn't to those suffering from greed, so it appears.

Obama made clear how his tax policy differs from Romney. “Asking the wealthy to pay a little more… For above $250,000, we can go back to the tax rates we had when Bill Clinton was president… [When] we created 23 million new jobs.” “Nobody who’s looked at [Romney’s plan]… actually believes it adds up.”

ROFL nope just the envy side.

Obama made clear how his tax policy differs from Romney. “Asking the wealthy to pay a little more… For above $250,000, we can go back to the tax rates we had when Bill Clinton was president….”
    [/QUOTE]

He can ask and could have asked them to pay more at anytime, why hasn't he? He can ask them to pay whatever rate he chooses to ask them to pay. In fact he should be doing it first and showing the example.

Why hasn't he? He even said everyone would love him even more after he asked them so why hasn't he?

[h=1]Obama: ‘You’ll Love Me Even More’ With My Plan to Ask the Wealthy to Pay Higher Taxes[/h]

"Speaking at the University of Iowa, an audience member shouted out, “We love you Obama!” He replied with his somewhat standard “I love you back,” then added: “But let me tell you the fourth thing — you’ll love me even more.”

“Fourth,” he continued, “my plan would reduce our deficit without sticking it to the middle class. Independent analysis has shown that my plan would cut deficits by $4 trillion. And I’ve already worked with the Republicans in Congress to cut a trillion dollars’ worth of spending, because those of us who care about what government can do to help people give them a ladder up. … I want to make sure that we also reform our tax code so that it’s simple and fair, and so that we ask the wealthiest households in America to pay higher incomes on — or higher taxes on incomes over $250,000.”"

I can't take you seriously when you say the ONLY thing that happened between bush taking office and the worst recession in 80 years was democrats taking control of both houses.

Since none was given...........................here is your source bea.gov. I await your rebuttal after you educate yourself on the economy and GDP until then you are too ignorant of the matter to hold a discussion.

He has. I just showed you.

What's Romney's plan to lower the deficit when he's adding $5 trillion in tax cuts and a couple trillion more spending on the military on top of that?

Cite where he asked them to pay more, was it in a letter, was it in a speech, was it a Tweet?

you gave your concession when you ran away from my challenge.

you said GDP is worse this year than last year, and last year was worse than the year before. I asked for a citation, and you've refused to give it. bea.gov is a big site.

link exactly where you are getting your information, or I can accept your concession again.

    You really CAN"T read.

    2012 1.77% is worse than 2011 1.9425%, which is worse than 2010 @ 2.375%

2009 was -0.2%, if that is the lame point you're trying to make. So dumping a wasted trillion dollar Stimulus bumped up GDP growth fpr 2010 over 2009. And the USA has been circling around the ceramic bowl heading for a flush ever since. You people do all you can to ignore and deny reality.

If the ignorant incompetent buffoon was successful, THEN 2010 would have been better than 2009, a trillion dollar waste made that happen. And 2011 should have been better than 2010, it was NOT. And 2012 should have been better than 2011, it IS not. You think b.o. is a hero because HE BOUGHT a TEMPORARY bump up with a trillion dollars we didn't have and have to repay. How dumb and short sighted is that?
And you loonies sing the praises of a 7.9% unemployment rate. That IS a terrible rate and only not higher, because the labor force is way down as MILLIONS have given up looking for a job.

b.o. has failed absolutely in every area except doing a con job on the terminally stupid.

Are you telling me that in your lunatic math, or whatever you call the nonsense you wallow in, that this year's 1.77% GDP growth is better than last years 1.9425% GDP growth. Do you have absolutely no understanding of GDP? None at all? Or of rudimentally simple math? 2012 1.77% is 0.1725 WORSE than 2011 was. Neither is good. Just another example of the colossal failure that the ignorant, unqualified, incompetent pig, b.o. is.

You didn't read what he said. Go back and read it again and this time be sure to look up the word "significant".

What 5 trillion in tax cuts. You do understand that when you cut taxes your promoting the idea of investing so they invest that money which in turn generates revenue which gets taxed so the countries revenue actually goes up not down.

What Bluesguy is asking is why didn't Obama send out a PR or a phone call and asked Rich people to pay more without having to resort to raising taxes. Then rich guys like George Soros who thinks they should be taxed more can voluntarily pay more without the government having to resort to raising taxes on those who don't.

I'm really getting tired of this wordsmithing you folks play on this forum.

Dan you and Rahl are wordsmithing. Dan means that the growth has gotten worse by getting smaller. Rahl is interpreting it as worse meaning it went negative and we all know it didn't go negative. So Rahl quit playing the wordsmith game, you know what he meant.

On the very best day of your liberal life, you could not approach embarrassing me. I am your obvious superior in any subject. Not especially humble, but extremely capable. And it is embarrass. Perhaps spelling is a root cause of your reading embarrassment. A liberal education for all to mourn.

And yet you've embarrassed yourself. You proved bluesguy wrong for me.

And resorting to pointing out spelling mistakes shows you've lost the debate

In fact President Obama has asked Congress to increase taxation on those with higher incomes but that has been blocked by the Republicans in Congress. Even that is not enough though and middle income families are also going to require tax increases because of the size of the annual deficits.

I haven't seen any real proposals to save Social Security or Medicare by either Romney or Obama that doesn't require screwing the American taxpayer. These are both funded with dedicated FICA/Payroll taxes and even if the cap is lifted on the SSA taxes there still won't be enough increased revenue to pay for the future shortfalls. Medicare can't be saved without at least a 50% increase in the dedicated FICA/Payroll taxes that pay for it. Smoke and mirrors simply don't result in revenue.
