Ohio County Says Nearly 50,000 Voters Received Wrong Ballots

COLUMBUS, OHIO (AP) — Nearly 50,000 voters received incorrect absentee ballots in the county that is home to Ohio’s capital, elections officials said Friday as they promised corrected ballots would be mailed within 72 hours.

With about 240,000 ballots mailed, that meant one in five voters received a wrong ballot. The error happened Saturday afternoon when someone changed a setting on a machine that places absentee ballots into mailing envelopes, Franklin County elections officials said Thursday.

The process to print, stuff the replacement ballots in envelopes and mail them was underway Friday, the Franklin County Elections Board announced. The board also said it will mail postcards to all affected voters detailing the situation and highlighting voters' options moving forward.

That it happened in the first place and not the only place it happened and who knows what we are missing. Add it the postal worker just charged with dumping ballots, the one in July, the Democrats in Texas and we are JUST getting started.

They don't look like Democrats to me.

 

I received 2 extra ballots. Luckily, they live close so I walked over and delivered them. Postal workers are human and make mistakes. The fewer humans between my ballot and the scanner, the better.

 

If a county has more votes than people on the rolls the election boards (made up with bi partisan committees) and the campaigns themselves will have recourse ie courts....... complaining about it prior to the actual votes is just a way to have a built in excuse plain and simple

 

You are getting your talking points mixed up. Trump supports absentee ballots. Its not your fault. It can be difficult to keep up with President Trump sometimes.

“Go to a voting booth and vote,” Trump said. “Unless you’re an absentee, in which case they have to go through a whole process. In order to vote, they have to go through a very strict process. The equivalent of going to a voting machine, or maybe even sometimes better.”

Not to worry though. With hundreds of millions of potential votes to go through the system I am certain errors will pop up from time to time to support your narrative. The good news is if repubs ever decide voting in person does not work in their favor they will likely be able to expose periodic errors in that too.

That is the great thing about the voter fraud narrative. With so many votes taking place in so many locations, errors are certain to pop up via any voting method your media handlers choose to villianize that particular election cycle thus providing for ammunition supporting a never ending attack on our democratic elections...if your into that sort of thing anyhow. Even Joe Biden in the debate confessed that this is going to be a logistics nightmare! You're talking tens of millions of ballots, and given these rates, clearly of those tens of millions, millions will literally either be filed in wrong(not nefariously), missing(perhaps nefariously) or just flat out invalid altogether.

It's a freaking disaster, and it was and is a dumb ass idea. Online voting is less prone to problems.

That's 50,000 valid ballots that can be filled out and mailed in by dishonest people. The name on the ballot is different and is now untraceable to the person who mailed it in. Nothing dishonest to see here. Move along.

 

The ballot has somebody else's name on it. How will they trace it to you if you fill it out and throw it in a mailbox down the street? As I understand it, the ballots are valid but they were sent to the wrong addresses.

 

They can't trace it, but it will be rejected. The bar codes are voided, and new ballots are being sent.

 

Nope. Government is pretty incompetent otherwise I wouldn't have received three in the first place...
