Oh I'm perfectly happy to criticise Muslims and Islamic terrorists. What I won't do though is try to re-write history to promote my own agenda.
If you think Muslims are the first people who tried to justify their crimes through their holy book then you probably haven't been paying attention.
The Barbary States were not colonising they were engaging in piracy.

 

Any comparisons or equivalency is your interpretation. I merely pointed out that the Barbary Wars were against radical Islamic terrorism.

 

And I pointed out that they weren't. They were against piracy.
I think you are mistaken.

 

The terrorists themselves disagree with you, according to their own words.

 

You keep repeating that, care to provide a link?
Does it come from the men committing the acts of piracy or just from their religious leaders trying to excuse their criminal activity through self interested interpretations of the Koran?
Or worse still, is it merely an unsubstantiated accusation from the leaders of the Barbary states' enemies?
I'm open to being proved wrong but I will need some pretty strong evidence.
