On what basis do Christians claim that their god is "good"?

So you are confirming God is not omniscient or omnipotent.
He created something and had no clue it would turn out bad, and when it did turn out bad he wasn't powreful enough to change it.
That isn't what christianity says about God.

I didn't choose any thing I'm not even in the same country or involved in any way. You couldn't demonstrate any more clearly that you have no clue what others post or for that matter how you respond.

God isn't so fond of killing evil babies himself and has in the past recruited zealots to slaughter them for him. I'm sure you would be more than happy to rip evil babies from their evil mothers wombs if god said they were evil and he wanted you to do it!

God didn't create evil but he does allow it. How else can humans choose between good and evil without the two? How else can evil be seen without good? So here it is: God allows evil for the purpose of good.
