You were guilty by default. Why didn't you appeal it?

It can be a tint up to some percentage. There is no way to know what is legal and what isn't without expensive equipment.

I think ours is something like 35% and I usually have a dealer put it on. The State Police have darker tint on their unmarked cars. I got stopped by one and it turned out to be a relative on a drug patrol and stopped me because I did not signal the lane change on an interstate in a rental SUV.

Yep in LA I think its 40 for the driver and passenger windows in front and 20% for rear passenger windows and I dont know what it is for the back window, even less I think. I did enjoy the tinted windows, I could park the car in direct sun and it was downright cool when you got in. After I tore all the tint off the temp in the car went up 30 degrees.

I bought a car with factory tinted windows except for the front driver and passenger windows. I had the State allowed tint put on those and it is lighter than the factory tint on the rear windows and back window.

only when they are doing good, when they are trying to stop us from having a good time when were not hurting anyone, we dislike them as much as anyone

when I was younger we could drink beer at 18, harder alchol at 21, and I can tell you, we would of drank legal or not... luckily none of us had to deal with the nonsense the younger generations nowadays does

nowadays you can get a $50 ticket for smoking cigarettes outside in your own car at the state university, crazy (and yes, that law was probably created by a liberal)

That is why they use force of government to get what they want since most people don't really what the same thing.

I am a traffic officer, and I couldn't watch the video. As far As I know it isn't illegal to have a camera on your vehicle, or helmet. Nor is it illegal to video the police. I would say that it is a good idea to record them. Like it or not some cops are abusive. It's on our best interest to make sure they are exposed.

traffic codes vary from state to state. A police officer can pull you over for any violation of traffic code.

But that's just it. He didn't violate any traffic laws. He was pulled over so the cop could take his camera for evidence against the OTHER bikers.

    THAT you can't do.

I don't despise all cops. Last year when my house was broken into the first person I called was a cop. I won't let a few bad cops make me hate all of them. Most of them do their jobs to the best of their ability and are honest, good people.

No they can't, which is why that cop got suspended for doing so. And since the evidence was obtained illegally, its inadmissible in court.

    Learn your laws man.

I could have argued using law that he was right in confiscating the evidence.

You could learn the law, but it doesn't seem you are interested. It seems you are more interested in playing victim.

Ok, show me what law says that cop can take that guys camera. You can't.

Like I said, learn your laws. Had the cop not done anything wrong, he wouldn't have been suspended. Actions speak louder than words, >>>MOD EDIT Off Topic Removed<<<

I'm not "cop-hater" but sometimes they are really mad and today, some of them commit crimes more often than most of criminals!
Why? Because tests for rookies are like tests in schools, it's pretty easy to become a cop, that's why many unskilled angry idiots who hurts innocent people now are wearing officer straps!

I could, but you would say nuh uh and says assume ridiculous nonsense. But I'll go ahead and explain it.

Depending on the severity of the crime committed it is legal to collect evidence without a warrant if the evidence was going to be destroyed.

They never grow up. They just replace mother and father with a maternalistic and paternalistic state that cares for them and disciplines them at someone else's expense.

Ok so you can't show any law stating that a cop can confiscate someone's personal camera because it may contain video of a crime being committed without a warrant.

I didn't think so. You make the claim, yet can't back it up sooooo......

    >>>MOD EDIT Off Topic Removed<<<

Let's say a crime is committed by someone but they don't know who and the neighbors home surveillance system caught the act. Without a warrant, they can't just go to the dudes house and say give me your DVR system. Nope, don't work like that. If they want it, they have to get a warrant to seize it.

Like I said, learn your laws. You apparently have a lot of learning to do. LOL I'll give a little hint: Illegal search and seizure.

Well depending on the crime, they can. >>>MOD EDIT Off Topic Removed<<<

Moving the goal posts I see. The law in question takes place on a public road way.

Seems I'm pretty good on law, when operating a vehicle on a public road way you have consented to search, in fact revoking such consent would result in a suspension of your license.

It's called implied consent. Seems you have some learning to do yourself.

Indeed one can. But some folks hate them all. It's because they are am authority figure in some people's minds. Some folks resent authority for various personal reasons.
