I think folks are about to find this more and more. With their Obama Care plans, the best hospitals and Medical facilities will be simply out of their net works and they won't be welcome there unless they have a wad of cash. Every last bit of this was predictable unless a person has their 1960's peace, love and Kumbya glasses on where Rainbows generate all the electricity we need, factories where they make Unicorns for every one and welfare checks are strawberry scented.

In the end there will be two health care systems. One where the rich, Congressmen, other wealthy individuals and Government workers will go because they can afford it. There won't be any wait times and their every need will be catered to. Then there will be the OTHER health care system, The one for the middle and lower classes where the doctors who graduated in the BOTTOM 50% of their classes in medical school go. Giant wait times, misdiagnoses, botched procedures and crappy care will be the norm.....AND you will pay for it. This is the new medical home for the middle class under Obama Care. If we continue down this road we will be where England is at right now. A time where life insurance is far more important than health insurance. This way when the health care system does you in, your family will enjoy a windfall due to your demise. C'mon you want your spouse to be happy when your gone don't you? This way he/she will have the money for a cruise with their favorite pool boy or babysitter.

Another manufactured absurdity from the Right!

There is ALREADY two-tiered (actually more like 4 or 5 tiers) medical system in the USA, although the biggest split is those who get good hospital care and those who can't go to the hospital AT ALL other than an ER visit that leaves them with collection agencies and bankruptcy hounding them for some quicky "stabilization" that may well not have really treated their condition at ALL!

MANY health insurance policies won't pay the high prices commanded by places like Cedars-Sinai - those hospitals are simply not in many insurance company's networks.

I know a Phd tenured professor with top insurance who she and her military contractor husband insist on going to the Mayo Clinic for their major medical work. They have paid as much as $30,000 to get this "choice" even with their top policies.

Also, many Obama Exchange plans are regional, and the various plans are not ALL going to sign up hospitals far away from the centers of service.

Not to mention the ridiculous assertion that other hospitals are staffed only by the bottom 50% of medical graduates and all the attendant evils is simply made up.

Just another anecdotal crapola posting full of garbage and never a link to the "truth" contained there in. I know a cow who told me it jumped over the moon too!

Does someone really need to document that many health plans in place NOW pe-Obamacare also will NOT pay for a patient to go to a hospital like Cedar-Sinai?

    The comparison is simply absurd!

People go to an Exchange because of two reasons - they have pre-existing conditions, or they are low-income and need subsidy.

NEITHER of these groups of people CURRENTLY get the time of day from the premium cadillac health plans our executives and other well placed and well-to-do have.

And of course our Obama-hating propagandists IGNORE the revelation contained in this story - a low-income person CAN get a subsidized policy from an Obamacare Exchange and actually have ACCESS to Cedars-Sinai!

All these pathetic whiners can do is complain not ALL policies when the BIG NEWS is that NOW the lower end of the economic spectrum will have a choice, too.

It's your assertion and your credibility, back it up or don't. My assertion has already been documented. If you won't or more than likely can't then your posts remind folks of the guy in the freeway that keeps driving on a flat tire chewing up the rim.

Your assertion has been "documented" by a story that asserts NOT ALL Obamacare subsidized Exchange plans for low income people allow the policyholders to visit the most expensive and top-rated hospitals.

But some DO provide the access to these facilities!

How does this document ANYTHING? The story's assertions are simply BS based on their OWN evidence!

If you want gold-plated service from ANY facility ANYWHERE, then I suggest you buy your Obamacare policy from an insurance company based on its inclusion of a LARGE number of top-rated, top-dollar hospitals and super-specialist top-dollar doctor networks!

Just like you have to now. IF you are healthy and don't need it.

How do you opt out of "Obamacare" as a hospital? The insurers are still private, many of them the same providers who've been providing coverage for a long time now.

This is just severely lacking in details. I can't stand the ACA for a ton of reasons, but I don't need to manufacture reasons to oppose it.

Simple, the hospital employs the people. The hospital is in charge. They opt out. If someone working there doesn't want to opt out, they can get a job elsewhere.

The result of our investigation: Many top hospitals are simply opting out of Obamacare.

Chances are the individual plan you purchased outside Obamacare would allow you to go to these facilities. For example, fourth-ranked Cleveland Clinic accepts dozens of insurance plans if you buy one on your own. But go through Obamacare and you have just one choice: Medical Mutual of Ohio.

If yo go through an EXCHANGE, those are plans designed to be lowest cost aimed at people who need subsidy.

I am kind of confused why Righties think the subsidized plans should supply the most expensive docors and hospitals.

If you want to spend more money and get a gold-plated plan with plenty of top-ranked very expensive hospitals in their network, then yes, you are expected to spend your OWN money for such top dollar insurance.

Just go to an insurance agent from whom you will be able to purchase an OBAMACARE health policy that can have any number of top hospitals in its network, and any other options you might be interested in, just like now.

Why is this so complicated for the Righties?

I would say that the fact that even your Rabid Right Wing source could not find a Oamacare Exchange that did not have ANY high end hospitals in its policies for their propaganda article is proof-positive that the Obamacare Exchanges DO provide access to high end resources too, which a consumer could get with careful shopping.

But go ahead and blather your propaganda of the absurd idea that the lack of ALL the top hospitals on EVERY policy in an Obamacare Exchange is somehow a "failure".

BTW, supposedly American health care is supposed to be the "tops in the world", yet here is the Right complaining that ONLY the very cream of the crop and MOST EXPENSIVE of facilities will provide good healthcare.

Yet here the Righties claim USA healthcare is only worthwhile at the most premiere places!
According to this nonsense, 90% of Americans, the ones without "wads of cash" (more like dump trucks of cash, actually) are even now being serviced by lousy and failed physicians and facilities! What pathetic attacks!

I'll ask a second time, show us the proof of that assertion. You other answers are simply deflection so you don't have to prove what you assert as a fact.

I proved it by citing your OWN article!

The Obamacare exchanges are the bargain outlet for health insurance. If you want gold plated policies that have gold plate providers, you simply buy your Obamacare policies (and ALL health policies are Obamacare policies!) from an insurance company with ANY amount of specialty or elite treatment you want.

    But without a subsidy!

Even your propaganda article doesn't say what you claim. You CAN get top hospitals from an Obamacare Exchange policy! Why should I try to document something even your lying sponsors can't demonstrate?

It clearly states that the Exchanges have these hospitals available in a network you can buy! Right now, someone who would HAVE to buy from an Exchange has NO premiere hospitals because they have NO insurance!

ALL health insurance plans are OBAMACARE plans, whether bought at the Exchange or directly from the insurance company!

What this article is talking about is SUBSIDIZED plans sold through the Exchanges have a limited (but not nonexistent!) number of plans with premiere hospitals in their network!

I don't think we need to supply a full range of PREMIERE hospital access costs to people getting subsidized, do YOU?

All of the USA's hospitals are supposedly EXCELLENT, according to the frothing "Free Market USA is Best Medical Care" Righties, so what's the problem with regular institutions for good value?

Really? I guess some people will just need to see it for themselves. It doesn't take alot of thinking to be able to see that it will be worse and just how it will be worse. Here is a clue: The health care system will be ran by the same people who brought you the DMV.....nuff said.
