The only thing I can really foresee Oprah really getting attacked for is that she has no qualifying experience, but that's not her real challenge to winning the Presidency. Her real problem is that she'd be running on the Democrat ticket. Right now a female candidate would be more likely to win on a Republican ticket, because the DNC just made it extremely hard for any female candidate to win in the General unless she proves to be exceptionally qualified. Anything less would be seen as "Hillary-round-3." Speaking of being qualified; one's gender, or who they were married to, or how much money they have in the bank, do not qualify a person. For starters you have to have a plan, and you have to be able to convey that plan to voters in a convincing manner (i.e. how are you going to execute that plan). Then voters are going to need to feel convinced that Congress will work with you. I don't see her passing that bar no matter how hard Democrats in office push for her.

I never thought Obama had any baggage, now Hillary Clinton had tons. Oprah, no thank you. But you may have a point on the experience, being a politician, etc. Without hard votes, stances on issues, a long history to be torn into and exploited, hmm. Then we elect people based on personality and in case of Trump, persona instead of substance. But that isn't nothing new for a lot of voters who vote for the candidate that looks presidential without knowing much about him. For 2020 I would prefer a bit more of an old fashioned Democrat, perhaps a blue dog. But with the Democratic Party controlled by the Northeastern and west coast ultra liberals, that isn't about to happen. I would like to see a candidate from what most Democrats refer to and scoff at as being barbarian country, flyover country.

And if they thought Hillary or Trump might have had their hands in some possible conflicts-of-interests around the globe then they'd be in for a ride considering everything Oprah is connected to.
