Deluded right wingers on this forum constantly harp about how in their twisted minds "liberals" in the USA suppress their rights. Yet, when their friends in the brutal and tyrannical government of Israel suppress other people's rights, this, in their warped minds is perfectly OK. If these right wingers had any integrity they would DEMAND that the brutal Israeli government respect everyone's rights. And they demand that the USA government stop financing that government's tyranny and crimes.

I think you are hitting the nail right on the head! I did not want to volunteer and speak up on behalf of other Jews that strive to defend Israel... and these religious Jews that almost always forget that these are their brethren who keep them alive and non productive.
In a few words Israel is tired to carry the burden alone while 50,000 Jews say that their primary allegiance is to G-d. Well no one tells them different, but how about sharing the burden (some have already volunteered)... The unrealistic scenario of their women will be in propinquity with non religious female soldiers or their men influenced by the IDF army atmosphere is as ludicrous as the person who ignores THE fact that am Israel = the people of Israel are responsible one to the other... If this is not clear and they still refuse to serve they should all Join Neturei Karta in the UK and upstate New York and leave us alone to fend for ourselves.

Israel claims to be a democracy which is based on biblical teachings. As well know this is a lie since the Bible tells us that only the Messiah can reestablish the Kingdom (we have discussed this on other threads so we need not repeat that here). Israel continues to violate biblical law as women cannot be conscripted under Mosaic law (the Bible specifically indicates men only in the army), that men who declare they object to fighting are to be sent home, that newly married men or those who newly plant vineyards are deferred for at least a year, and that "strangers" are to be treated like family (therefore, no war on Palestinians). Thus, Israel's claims to be democratic and biblical adherents are all lies. Their evil actions in conscripting Orthodox Jews is the latest anti-biblical action that government has taken. Therefore, Americans who call themselves Christian and conservative need to withdraw their support of and DEMAND that Israel stop these anti-biblical evils.

Thank you for that information - indeed, the cost to the USA has been FAR more than just dollars. All this while Americans died for lack of health care much to the delight of the right wing.

By the way, Orthodox Jews in Brooklyn NY have long been known for their charitable work in helping the poor in NYC. They practice biblical teaching in that respect because charity begins at home, not overseas.

I'm pretty confused on what aspect of their religion prevents them from the responsabilities due other citizens. In the U.S, we have the Amish--who specifically adheres to the New Testament as to why they have an attitude of non-resistance...and that attitude is prevalent within their values and lifestyle.
