Our right to drop off our kids at a safe school outweighs your right to guns

Either we change our existing laws and culture in our to break the link between a potential nutcase and his reach to guns, or we change the Constitution.

People have said it before on here and I can't figure out why people like you will not listen. It's not a gun problem, it's a people problem.

In 1970 there were an estimated 205 million people in the United States; today we have 323 million people. According to multiple statistical and "news" companies the number of households with a firearm has declined every year for the past 20.

I know why people go after guns....because it's a tool and it's obvious which means easy. The real problem though is the change in the people. Some believe it's because of religion waning, come believe it's the violent video games and music, some believe it's the fault of social media. Hell it could be all three or none of those.

The problem is not the gun though, as can be evidenced when we look at history. Fixing people can be difficult and tricky without stamping on rights, but there lies the root of the problem...people......not guns.

Schools are safe already, they don't kill anyone. Murder and assault are already illegal, so any "right" you think you have in this regard is already covered.
The problem is some people simply don't follow laws, and never will. You're never going to stop that. No reason to impede others guaranteed rights in the Constitution for a fruitless attempt at stopping human nature.

if someone really wants to hurt or kill another, and they are committed to do so....they will. There is no system we have that will stop this. .

 

The 2ND Amendment is certainly one of the most glaring FLAWS in The Constitution.

Just like with evolution and man made global warming, advocates always over-analyze to the point of overshooting the mark which causes them to dig even deeper for answers, answers they'll never find and will instead post a theory.

Everything to do with murder is illegal. Any weapon on school grounds is illegal. Making guns illegal will do nothing to stop the next school shooting. Kids can't function without social media. Act on social media threats and you'll slow this to a crawl until they find another way for us to counteract. There will ALWAYS be something to counteract.

 

And similar to global warming you have all these people that claim "do something", not realizing that some things are simply out of your control. It's arrogance to think Man can solve anything and everything.

If we didn't have Guns, this guy may have still pulled the fire alarm, and waited for everyone to come outside to their pre planned evacuation areas and mowed them down with a vehicle.

 

Where does the OP say law abiders should give up their guns.

The ? is how do we break access between crazies and gun access.

 

Transgenders in the Military comes to mind. We are officially sanctioning people with unstable brains to have access to the best guns humans make.
