Yep, she's a sportsman, fer sher. And, let's face it, the reason for her hard-on for wolves and bears is that she doesn't want to compete with them for elk and moose. She likes to shoot them from the same balcony Russia can be seen from.

She needs to start working out so she can do her centerfold.

In another year or so, nobody will care.

So Obama's pick of Biden was GOOD? Seriously that man could p.huck up a wet dream. He's made 10x the gaffes that Sarah has made but he's next in line if anything happens to Obama! Now THAT scares me!

California sends far more every year in taxes than it gets back. With its $2 trillion economy is one of the top donor states in the country.

Alaska? It has an economy that is heavily subsidized by the government. Like most red states, it is a welfare queen.

Life in the right-wing bubble: thinking the Wasilla Queen compares in ANY way to a man who served in the senate for 36 years and was a major player in terms of shaping policy during that span.

    Get real. Biden annihilates Palin.

Thanks for reaffirming my assertion that "she never hunted anything from a helicopter."

As governor, she continued the population control methods that Alaska conservation agency has been doing for decades.

Why can't you understand the there are population control methods designated for each type of animal?

So you lefties elected the most inexperienced damn fool to ever run for the office in American history, and now you people continue to (*)(*)(*)(*)(*) that a woman had less skills than your idiot from Indonesia. Given the COMPLETE lack of success in foreign affairs the idiot you elected has delivered to date, it's well past time you people apologized to Mrs. Palin. It's pretty certain she would never have given the Queen of England an i-Pod with used speeches as a present.

A "donor" state? You mean the victims.....er the citizens of California have volunteered to pay more than their proper share of taxes?

What you just stated is grounds for recalling two RAT senatorette bimbos and any number of RAT Congressmen who keep promoting higher and higher taxes and higher and higher spending, except, of course, the Constitution does not allow recalls.

There should be an Amendment whereby a state's legislature, with a 3/4 vote, can recall a sitting Senator.

Oh. You must be talking about Joe the Court Jester Stooge Biden.

Who's bill was it that made it harder for poor people trapped in the cycle of credit card debt to declare bankruptcy and have that debt cleared? Would he perchance be a Senator from the state in which the major credit card companies like MBNA are headquartered....Delaware?

    Why YES, that's Joe Biden.

Glad you brought up his wonderful record as a Senator and how he's (*)(*)(*)(*)ed the little guy....and you'll never guess who got nailed for plagiarism at Syracuse University during his first semester at law school....and sure, we know you people are going to claim he out grew that...except, of course, he didn't, as his plagiarism of a Neil Kinnock speech showed. No, there's nothing incompetent about Joe Biden....EVERYTHING about him screams BOOB and BOUGHT.

By golly, Joe Biden is one of those size EEEEE silicon globes you see stuffing stripper's shirts. A bought boob.

I absolutely love Pailn and her politics. She is tougher and more ethically/morally sound/correct than 99.9% of her ‘tiny weenie‘, geeky, ‘yes men‘, liberal, ‘gun scared’, ‘woman hating’ critics. (I wanted to add more of those accurate descriptive nuances that describe most of her critics but you get the idea eh?) She has more balls than most than her critics as well, by balls I mean NO FEAR! I had virtually nothing against Palin before I saw the bear picture, but seeing ANY animal killed for trophies, especially a magnificent Griz, I am deeply saddened for both the hunter and of course the animal. While I respect and even admire subsistence hunters and those hunters that use the animal they hunt to put food on the table. That said I am near, maybe fully and totally against trophy hunting. The only thing that MAY change my mind would be using T hunting to thin the number so more can survive or to save or enhance the health of the species. Even the former is a big 'IF' but I have yet to make a decision on that type of hunting. So, that is the only semi black mark on Palins record that I know of. I say Palin for president, she is too good for energy director ! That said she would make a great dept of the interior minister or whatever.

See my post above. I do not approve of trophy hunting. Still she is ethical and a moral person which is more than I can say about most of her critics.

You mention the American press while talking about the Highway of Tears. Are you talking about the same press that embedded (embedding isn't journalism) themselves with the American military fighting against Iraq? The same press that allowed George Bush to take you guys into a ridiculous war that up here in Canada we prayed you would forgo? Up here in Canada we saw that war for the farce it was and quite frankly it really scares me that the American media didn't do more to inform people that Iraq had nothing to do with the Towers coming down. Polls at the time weren't exactly flattering to you guys on that front.

Investigative journalism was amazing in the US in the 1970s and 80s and two of my heroes are Woodward and Bernstein, however, those days are long gone.

As for the highway of Tears itself, I know about it and I'm from the other side of the country so I'm not sure how our media is doing a bad job. I can also say that two different serial killers have been apprehended in that area so I don't think it's as simple as one person doing the whole thing.

Canadians killing native women for hitchhiking? That sounds absurd. I'm going to call B.S. on that unless you can prove that something like that even happened, much less is systemic.

I'll give you that Sarah Palin is tough - on a number of levels. She has put up with a hell of a lot of abuse and keeps on ticking, however, the woman is not bright enough or educated enough to succeed in US politics at any level. It scares me that she even tries.

Well, we have no obligations to be flattering. If you ask me, that whole war was BS, and they use depleted uranium weapons, and that is not good for reasons that are just too ugly for me to get into right now, but I think there ought to be a reckoning for it.

And, the thing about Highway of Tears, I mention it because it's the kind of thing that can be changed by getting all those young women some guns and teaching them how to shoot. That gives an incentive to whoever might attack them to reconsider, at least.

That's how I know it's always the double standard with people on the left. It's like with the whole Zimmerman thing, they want to play the race card as if it's all about racial stereotypes and whatnot. I'm not getting into that here, would be off topic, but it's just that sort of back beat or baseline to it all. So, now it's sexism instead of racism, or maybe in combination with racism, however you measure it. They hate Sarah Palin because she's a she with a gun, and that's sexy, and instead of admitting to the attraction, they play their games to make her look stupid or whatever. Maybe she's got a few screws loose, but I can't imagine living in Alaska is easy on anyone's nerves during the winter time, probably takes it's toll having to prioritize for survival. Just because I don't want for her to be President or Vice President, and because she accused Ohio of being "the acorn state", that was kind of nutty, but that doesn't mean she's totally wrong given the circumstances. She would be an excellent Senator in DC, I think. Because of her and others in the GOP like her, they're moving past that "greed is good" thing, and that's breaking down the corruption, and opens the way for the more original abolitionist ideals. Every time the bleeding hearts accuse the conservatives of being crazy, I mean. That reveals their intentions, like Sarah Palin is the canary in that coal mine, if that makes sense.

I wonder, though. When it gets to topics of foreign policy, because all that crap in the Middle East, and it turns out we can just drill-baby-drill here in America, have all the oil and natural gas and coal we need. Maybe that's not good for the environment, but neither is dropping humanitarian love bombs on Syria to get at theirs instead of dealing with our own because we can always do more research on alternative energy sources.

So, all that stuff comes to mind about Sarah Palin for me, but as this a topic also about Piers Morgan on CNN... That guy is a foreign agent attempting to influence the political system of America, and a lot of people are intolerant of that. I mean, we can tease Canadians about it, but for the most part Canadians have similar circumstances, especially geographically. But, we're not Canadians. We're not even British. We gave that up like a bad habit, and CNN has this thing where they keep putting on foreigners to lecture us on how barbaric we are compared to them, and they don't know what the (*)(*)(*)(*) they're talking about.

It's really obvious they hype it up, as if the media wants to induce as much panic attacks or something as they can get away with. The liberals are not well adjusted people, yet they want to keep up the appearance like it's the conservatives who are crazy. I think they need to face themselves for a change.

I like your relatively non-partisan approach to this conversation. I agree with you about Piers Morgan to a certain extent. I agree with his policy on guns, however, he's not American and it would certainly p*ss me off to have a foreigner criticize Canadians on a Canadian network. I hear you on that. I also agree with you that there should be a reckoning on the Iraq war although I think that will come in time just as it did with Vietnam. I also agree with you that Sarah Palin is having to fight a lot of sexism. There is no doubt in my mind that if she was less attractive she would be taken a little more seriously. That said, she has used her looks to help her as well so there are two sides to that coin. One thing that really bothers me about the media is the criticism her family has received. I think it's pretty disgusting how her family has been portrayed as dysfunctional when most families in America are just the same. I would have snapped a long time ago if my family had been treated the same way hers has been. She's a very tough lady and I admire that about her. By the way, I don't think conservatives are crazy and I'm a lefty. We're not all monsters just as I know you on the right are not all monsters. At the end of the day we all want similar things, health, friends, a decent job and enough money to help our kids. We just have different thoughts about how to go about getting those things. It's too bad when things are as divisive as they are in the States right now.

True, but based on experience to that point in time the reality was that neither Obama nor Palin were quite ready to even become vice presidents. But if they are all you have ready to go then they are what you work with. Based on the nature of her stint as governor it was obvious that Palin learned quickly and would probably have gotten up to speed within a couple of years. Based on his endless failures continuing to this very day it is now obvious that Obama would probably NEVER be ready to function as a competent president, but back in 2008 not even his staunch critics realized that Obama was incapable of eventually learning how to be an effective president.

They just differed over how long the OJT (On the Job Training) process would take. So in that respect it was reasonable that both Palin and Obama were more or less qualified enough to go into the vp slot where they would be trained to be president if something dire were to occur to either President McCain or President Hillary Clinton.

First the "Griz" as you so colorfully describe the bear is NOT a grizzly bear. It is a black bear. In recent years black bear populations have exploded in Alaska/N. Canada. Black bears are like city pigeons. Except they are a dangerous nuisance and their exploding numbers mean there is less wild game that the indians rely on to survive.
It is now not uncommon to see a black bear sow with three and even four cubs. The usual number of cubs historically would be one or two. That means the sow has been able to prey on more animals so it is stronger and healthier when it entered the winter den.
Second the Palin family uses virtually every scrap of meat on any animal they harvest. They donate what they can't use to the local indians. Palin did NOT shoot the bear for a trophy.
Third. During [an interview the] interviewer Charles Gibson asked her what insight she had gained from living so close to Russia, and she responded: "They're our next-door neighbors, and you can actually see Russia from land here in Alaska, from an island in Alaska".
Some of you LIB (*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*) need to wake up.
As for Morgan let's just say you wouldn't want your girl friend or wife to find themselves alone with him. He's a sweaty drunk 'close-talker' with a Chamberlain complex with bad breath.

Shame she couldn't post a picture of her working for a living stating "I'm kind of busy right now". See that would have been a classy response, posting a picture of herself as Gov of Alaska meeting with the people. . .

maybe that's why she resigned, needed more time to hunt bears.

Isn't her profession right now to be a political pundit? To busy for work :(
