And you should read about the area. I've seen all these pictures and many of the explanations are just hilarious. I belong to the Biblical Archaeological Society. There are dozens of things claimed for the area. None of them are miraculous. Ron Wyatt claimed many things for the area and was discredited years ago. Did you know he supposedly found the Ark of the Covenant and the tablets of stone. No-one has ever seen it. I wonder why. He found the stone on which Abraham almost sacrificed Isaac.

laminated Deck Timber from the Ark,

the Tabernacle’s Table of the Showbread,
Goliath’s Sword,
Jesus’ Tomb and the Stone Seal of the Tomb,
a sampling of Christ’s Dried Blood, proving the doctrine of the Virgin Birth by means of a “chromosome count,” etc.

Many genuine archaeologists have found much that has proved Biblical places. Events are another matter. For example the walls of Jericho fell more than once but no evidence that the Hebrews were responsible. Ai has been found, but when Joshua was supposed to have conquered it, it had been in ruins for a 1000 years - confirmed by Egyptian historical documents.

The Rock at Horeb was found by a couple who also 'confirmed' the Red Sea Crossing and shared their research with Wyatt.

Nobody even knows where Horeb is. It's only mentioned about 17 times in the Bible and only once is it called Mt Horeb. Looking at the events and references in Exodus, Deuteronomy and 1 Kings it seems that Horeb is another name for Sinai. Modern Bibles translate it this way KJV 1 Kings 19:8 - Horeb. I gave you the evidence, the evidence comes from the first-hand witness accounts depicting the miraculous birth (born of a virgin), the life, the teachings through His ministry, the miracles He performed, the death by crucifixion and the resurrection of our Lord Savior Jesus Christ that were all written down in the Gospels of the New Testament. Now if that evidence is not good enough for you and you reject it then so be it. As far as I know we don't have the luxury of going back in time with a time machine to prove this historicity of our Lord Savior Jesus Christ.

BTW we find numerous prohecies in the Old Testament that foretold the coming of Jesus. Let me present a few of them.

"But you, O Bethlehem Ephrathah, are only a small village among all the people of Judah. Yet a ruler of Israel, whose origins are in the distant past, will come from you on my behalf." ---Micah 5:2 NLT

"Rejoice, O people of Zion! Shout in triumph, O people of Jerusalem! Look, your king is coming to you. He is righteous and victorious, yet he is humble, riding on a donkey—riding on a donkey’s colt." ---Zechariah 9:9 NLT

"My enemies surround me like a pack of dogs; an evil gang closes in on me. They have pierced my hands and feet. I can count all my bones. My enemies stare at me and gloat. They divide my garments among themselves and throw dice for my clothing." ---Psalms 22:16-18 NLT

The entire 53rd chapter of the Book of Isaiah is the clearest prophecy about Jesus. And Isaiah 53 verses 3 through 7 is especially unmistakable, it reads:

"He was despised and rejected—a man of sorrows, acquainted with deepest grief. We turned our backs on him and looked the other way. He was despised, and we did not care. Yet it was our weaknesses he carried; it was our sorrows that weighed him down. And we thought his troubles were a punishment from God, a punishment for his own sins! But he was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins. He was beaten so we could be whole. He was whipped so we could be healed. All of us, like sheep, have strayed away. We have left God’s paths to follow our own. Yet the Lord laid on him the sins of us all. He was oppressed and treated harshly, yet he never said a word. He was led like a lamb to the slaughter. And as a sheep is silent before the shearers, he did not open his mouth." ---Isaiah 53:3-7 NLT

Nobody is using the Holy Bible to prove the Holy Bible. But because we Christians believe in the Creator Almighty God, we believe the Holy Bible is His revelation to mankind, in other words the Holy Bible is the Word of God.

I'm not under any kind of obligation to prove to a non-believer such as yourself anything in what I believe in. Like I keep repeating if you don't want to believe because you feel you haven't been given sufficient evidence to believe then so be it.

In fact there are an abundance of evidence that makes for a reasonable/rational case for the existence of God. Besides the Holy Bible which is God's revelation to mankind, we have philosophical, scientific, archaeological, nature, and man as evidence that points to a Creator Almighty God! Now if you want more details of each just holla and I will present them more thoroughly/detailed.

As you must be aware this is NOT evidence....it is literature. Just as "The Hobbit" by Tolkien is not evidence of elves.

You may consider it to be evidence, but you do so due to emotional and inconclusive pre-conceived belief corrupting logical and rational thought. The "Eye Witness" aspect is particularly telling in that anyone can claim this but no one can prove it.

Islam once was the pinnacle of civilization. By the 1700's had conquered most of Eastern Europe up to Venice and had previously controlled Spain in Western Europe.

The scholars of Islam invented telescopes, preserved Ancient Greek writings, invented Algebra and the Arabic numeral system which is widely used today. They named countless stars and were enlightened and scientific.

The unfortunate thing is that after failing to conquer Europe a movement of fundamentalism began to see science and scientists as a threat to the Islamic religion and a movement began to push science out. By the time the Ottoman Empire collapsed it was struggling to keep up with the scientific advances in Europe and that lack of scientific capability was a significant cause of its defeat. Then the British carved up the remenants and it caused the morass we have today.

It's right up at the top of S.A. only 60 miles from the Israeli/Sinai border, and as nobody knows the exact route of the Exodus it's quite feasible the Israelites went there in their travels..

The name goes back to the generation from Noah after the flood and many times in the Bible the Lord God of Israel refers to a population by those names and it’s the finding of the scholars that Magog/Gog is the population now in Russia.

So actually the stage is set for all that should befall the earth and those that dwell on it, stated by the prophets to come to pass before Christ returns. Thing is, though the Jews don’t believe Jesus is the Christ (messiah) they do believe in the coming of the Messiah (Son of God) and now the Jews and the Christians await the same coming.
