You are correct, that's why inflation isn't an issue. We have LOTS of run to run in the Trump Expansion

The Trump Economy Continues to Surge

talk about trying to re-write history

the truth is Bush passed on to Obama a failing economy, Obama reversed it and passed Trump a growing economy, let's hope Trump passes on a growing economy to the dem that replaces him

The truth is Obama was a mediocre President.

His stumping on the political circuit these days is just as pathetic as his presidency.

The truth is, Obama took office after two years of a Dem Congress, two years later, he and that Congress gave us double digit unemployment. Furthermore, the GOP took Congress, and after two years started to recover, and with two years of a GOP President they have combined to give us the largest economic boom in decades.

The numbers don't lie - Obama has the fourth worst economic record of any president in U.S. history. That's worse than George W. Bush's economic record.

By lowering taxes, reducing regulations and bringing a pro-business and pro-private sector attitude to the White House, Trump has reversed Obama's failed policies and ideology, and since Democrats won't be able to screw things up under his watch I expect he'll hand a strong economy off to the Republican who succeeds him.

Mediocre would be a generous assessment of his presidency. Abject failure would be more accurate.

Obama's greatest accomplishment was getting elected. He was a successful politician but a horrible president, and he has the fourth worst economic record in U.S. history to prove it (along with his myriad foreign policy failures).

Ahhhhh, why did you misquote it?

"A broader measure of unemployment, which includes people who want to work but have given up searching and those working part-time because they cannot find full-time employment, fell one-tenth of a percentage point to 7.4 percent, matching a 17-year low hit in August."

    More GOOD NEWS.

A year after he and his fellow Congressional Dems took back the Congress,

Two years after the Republicans took back the Congress

Bush and the Republicans handed the Democrats a rapidly falling deficit down to a paltry $161B.

EVERYTHING does all hinge on who sits in the White House, political power is much more to do with who has majority control between the House, the Senate and the White House.

no, the number do not lie, but some Trump supporters do

the numbers show that Obama was passed a failing economy from Bush and turned it around

it's a good thing Trump was not passed the economy Obama was passed or we would all be in trouble

I helped vote in that do-nothing congress.

That was the plan all along. ;)

Obama was a sub par president and had to be stopped.

He didn’t have a gop congess for the last 6 years. Just the last two, which happen to be when the economy started improving, and deficits lowering

Banks take part in risky behavior and we bail them out.

The treasury bailed out the banks. We earned a large profit.

First, Obama was not handed an economy. If anybody was handed any economy, were it Government it would be the congress got it.

Obama never had dominion over the economy.

    Bush had none either.

Bush for a fact pleaded many times with Congress to stave off a bad economy and handle both Freddie and Fannie Mae. Congress in the person of both Dodd and Frank turned him down and proclaimed both of the two F groups were wonderful. I happen to see both of the two F groups as the rulers over the mortgage firms. And Bush collected both in bankruptcy and kept them alive. That saved housing.

Fannie Mae and Freddie were the risk takers. Not banks.

Sorry but no. The financial collapse was due to derivatives not Fanny and Freddy loans.

Not true. While this is not to excuse derivatives, merely insurance to the lenders, the rules by F and F brought it down. But for those rules, the derivatives were not going to play any role.
