I really don't see how Pelosi's people contacting the salon and her not wearing a mask equates to being a set up. Other then the recording itself, everything that happened was a choice made by Pelosi, not someone else.

Patron doesn’t bear the responsibility. The business does.

As though she is some ordinary patron, she is a lawmaker. Now she either has no clue or is a giant hypocrite, take your pick.

Did the business make her go without a mask?

    Bingo. Just how it is.

There's no evidence of coercion on her part.

I'm not saying that she wasn't in some ways culpable, btw.

And judging by what happened it looked like they had planned to video tape and expose her. I can completely understand the frustrated situation with salon owners though. Doing it tough

here in Australia we have a common-sense approach to the masks. You can take them off to have a cigarette, eat, jog cycle whatever as long as they are on hand to put on wherever possible and sensible.

She took off the mask to have her hair washed. Seems reasonable

Doesn’t seem unreasonable to remove mask in that instance. No one says you can’t remove them from time to time. Just use some common sense.

Pretty sure she’s made no law closing a single business.

The stylist texted the owner telling her that Pelosi had just called him and set up an appointment.

Why didn’t he do it outside then?

Might want to read the letter from his lawyer though.

I think it depends more on what the rules were for her in SF. The rules are different in my state. She’d have been fine here.

Maybe she’d heard wrong info; maybe she flat out just don’t give a ****. The story is mostly just for laughs for the right. It’s a relatively minor scandal no matter how you want to look at it and won’t amount to anything more than that.

Nonetheless, it is a VERY bad look for Pelosi. She is deplorably arrogant and self-righteous...

~ Pelosi should stay in Washington DC and try doing some work for the people instead of impeachment hearings, investigations, ice cream refrigerator interviews and trips to China Town . :censored:

She also didn't put it back on afterwards. Personally I don't care to much but her hypocrisy on the matter deserves to be called out.

I completely agree about it being common sense, however she violated a state order and blasted Trump for not wearing one. When you engage in that behavior then you are setting yourself up to called out on your hypocrisy. To say it was just a haircut doesn't matter, she already set the standard by her own past words.

There is no one who says you can’t pull your mask down for short periods. Damn, do people really think they can’t?

Her constituents are just as hypocritical as that piece-of-**** scum getting its hair done.

California is the one that mandated masks must be worn at all times while in a place of business. No rules were made in favor of removing them for "short periods".

When you said that you "hope Pelousy did blow her COVID germs all over the salon" it seemed that you had something against the salon owner!

If it was a "setup" as she says, then the salon would have had to call her. If she called the salon and set up the appointment, then it wasn't a "setup"; they just tattled on her. Although it was reported her assistant set up the appointment, so is she accusing the assistant of being part of the "setup"?

In our neck of the woods, salons are open, but you must wear a mask. The entire time you are there, when waiting, AND the whole time you are getting your hair done, AND while you pay the bill.

Ours don’t even require patrons to wear. Just stylist.
