I'm trying to understand specifically what LSG is refering to. There is surveillance we can't get away from, like that conducted by the government, and that which we can get away from: like deleting our Facebook accounts. There's also malicious or intentional surveillance, or invasion of privacy, like an online retailer selling your data to a third party without your consent. Then there's incidental and/or anonymized surveillance, like your ISP selling the general traffic practices of its users. I'm not sure how any of it has anything to do with this thread, but it's an interesting topic to talk about.

Read 1984 some time. It's a worthwhile read.

IOW, you are unable to cite a single quote from Trump calling for violence.

We are discussing abuse of power by a private company that is used at utility levels.

I've read it. I want to know what you mean when you're using the phrase. The government doesn't own or directly control "big tech," so presumably you arent literally refering the 1984 version of "big brother" when you say it.

Then you really agree with LSG's position:
"Big Brother watching you is all tech, not just social media." LSG

She is right, and so are you.

Why did you even post this? I proved Trump called for peace before and during the riots. You have nothing. You believe the Orwellian lies by the MSM, Big Tech, and the Establishment Political class.

He also said they should "fight like hell".

To deny that he has stoked the fires is beyond disingenuous. Its like his call with Raffensperger, he never said "steal the election and manufacture votes for me", so therefore he never did anything wrong. And when Tony Soprano says " I need you to do that thing...you know...dat thing".........he cant be held liable.

The right is playing the literal game now. Trump never literally said "hey, drag that cop out of the door, drag him down the steps, hit him in the head with a fire extinguisher, and then kill him" so therefore he has not culpability in what happened.

He spent he last two months, lying, and telling his supporters that they were being stolen from. He told them that they needed to "fight like hell" , and to come to Washington to do just that........but no, he is completely blameless for what happened.

Im sure you can explain why all of his "allies" are now distancing themselves from him because, as before, "it was a perfect call"

What? How did they "know what he wanted"? He called specifically for the exact opposite of what happened.

Do you Leftists really believe this crap? Or are you just alright with the Authoritarianism and can't wait to turn in your friends, family, and neighbors?

He called for peace that very day, at the rally, prior to anyone going into the Capitol. That is a fact.

    Fact. Fact. Fact.

You have nothing. You can't quote anything where he called for violence prior.

Twitter isn't a utility. It's a privately held company without the regulation of a utility.

You may as well say Trumpism is a church.

The Supreme Court ruled in the Baker's favor, that he didn't have to host speech he didn't like. The Republicans cheered that decision ... what changed their minds?

Trump wound up the crowd and sent them down the street toward the Capitol,
with a call to stop the proceedings. Either he was clueless as to the possibility of violence, or
he was indifferent. Don't know which is more worrisome.

ROFL! When and where did he say that... you have to do better. A link. A video. You know... some real proof where he is in full context, not just your inference, because that is the reality you desire.

You want real calls for violence?

    You lose... again.

He criticized Pence because he was critical of Pence. Hardly a call for violence. Just an expression of his opinion regarding Pence.

Trump could have gone so far as to say that the VP had just proved that Mike Pence was "not worth a bucket of warm spit", and that Garner was right. That too would not have been a call to violence.

I don't even know what her position is because she hasn't explained the meaning of her literary allusion.

Funny as it seems, I kind of agree with you. It's easier for the FBI to track MAGA fanatics if they are more visible on social media.
Sort of a double edge sword for the conspiracy nuts. "Open up Twitter!" or wait a second, they are tracking me on Twitter ... quite the conundrum ...

I said at the time this came out that she was wrong and should not have said that. I DID condemn that.

And if you really dont see that Donald Trump has spent the last 2 months telling everyone that would listen that the election was stolen, and that they should fight to make things right, you have had your head in the sand. Those "patriots" just all decided that the election was stolen on their own, and that they should come to Washington and arrest legislators, then nothing I can say, or show you will ever change that.

Oh, and Al Capone never did anything illegal .......

Trump's followers obvious disagree with you as proven by the chants of "h-ang Mike Pence!" as they attacked the Capitol.

I am asking that Donald Trump go on national TV right now and ask his followers to stand down.
If he loves his country at all, he will tell his followers to stand down - more innocent lives will be lost if he doesn't.

    And I don't want to hear, "But ... but ... BLM ...".
This is here and now and Trump has the ability to save American lives.
