Pretty much everyone in the country, including Trump, is in favor of having the individuals involved in criminal activity at the Capital arrested, trialed in court and fined or jailed.

By trying to blame Trump personally as if he were a direct conspirator, instead of blaming the few individuals who committed crimes, the Left will ending up turning Trump into some kind of folk hero when history looks back on this mess.

Even though the global BLM organization is a Marxist group, they drew a lot of non-Marxist people to protests who were simply supportive of police reform (as most of the country was). I have separated the peaceful BLM protesters, from the criminal looter, from the destructive Antifa anarchists. All of those groups should be separated from the elected Democrats who supported and urged the peaceful ones on as well.

I have thought that Trump lost his mind when he got Covid. With that said, the GOP has been trying to head off the act, or appearance, of voter fraud for years but the DNC had fought them at every turn saying that blacks were too stupid to get an ID (not in those words of course). This crap has been festering for much longer than Trump has been anywhere near D.C.

 

So, it should logically follow that if someone in the House or Senate were calling to impeach Pelosi, Kamala, Pressley and/or Waters for "inciting an insurrection" because the loony fringe Antifa freaks destroyed a lot of property and injured/murdered people then that would be reason enough for many left wing Americans to turn those women into admirable martyrs or folk heroes.

There is a chance at unity here if people agree that only the non-peaceful criminal elements which show up at otherwise peaceful protests should be arrested and charged with the crimes they chose to commit. It appears that the Left leadership is insistent on burning a high-profile witch though to satisfy the blood lust largely created by media spin. That's a shame. They really are turning Trump into a martyr in the eyes of many on the right, and exacerbating more needless division.

There are no Trump quotes calling for any of the violence, in fact he told them specifically before the riots to be peaceful. During the riot he told them to be peaceful and to go home.
