THEY didn't see it like that, maybe you should adopt their attitude?

Can we get rid of Mitch? .. that'd be awesome if Cruz or someone like that took over.

Lol I feel that if Northam was a conservative you’d have a different view.. tolerance for Northams yearbook zero tolerance for Kavanaugh. It’s not about principles of right and wrong but are they on my side or not.

Your right about that that the people can’t force them to resign or drop out, hopefully now when a politician is pressured on a gottcha hit piece by media and pressured to drop out they just ignore the media

Not too many years ago Minstrel Shows were popular and frequently staged by church and school groups across America. The Amos &Andy show starring all black actors was a very funny and popular TV show, yet today we do not allow it to be shown. Why were these actors and their descendants denied the royalties this show would have generated had it been allowed to run in reruns like so many popular SHOWS ARE??

This has got to be the most vain effort to grasp at straws I have ever seen.

Imagine actually having the mindset that this would change anything.

I asked my question first. Answer it and I'll be happy to answer yours. You don't get to leapfrog because you are scared of being direct.

You could be right... but I'd like to think if I gave it full analysis, I would come to the same conclusion in a reverse situation.

There's a world of difference between a live breathing accuser and a picture you cannot be identified in, IMHO...

And I don't have tolerance for that picture... its garbage and all associated with it suck eggs... I just happen to believe him when he says he's not...

So does his college roommate, BTW... for what that's worth in your book..

Yep, the entire south are racists.
It's why they started the civil war. They wanted to continue slavery of black people.

    Really. Then who said this:

During his famous debates with Sen. Stephen Douglas, Lincoln explained to the crowd: “I am not, nor ever have been, in favor of bringing about in any way the social and political equality of the white and black races … I am not nor ever have been in favor of making voters or jurors of Negroes, nor of qualifying them to hold office, nor to intermarry with white people; and I will say in addition to this that there is a physical difference between the white and black races which I believe will forever forbid the two races from living together on terms of social and political equality. And inasmuch as they cannot so live, while they do remain together there must be a position of superior and inferior, and I as much as any other man am in favor of having the superior position assigned to the white race.”

    https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/did-lincoln-racism-equality-oppose/

The north also offered the south to keep their slaves in the corwin amendment and they still broke off.

Please educate yourself on the topic.

And pretending racism recognizes borders is beyond laughable and easily proven wrong as I just did.

In response to the election of Abraham Lincoln to the presidency of the United States on a political platform that opposed the expansion of slavery, South Carolina seceded from the Union on December 20, 1860. Six more states would follow in the ensuing months: Mississippi, Florida, Alabama, Georgia, Louisiana, and Texas. In February 1861, they formed the Confederate States of America, an entity considered illegal by the United States government.

    Slavery, the reason for secession.

No I asked you to denounce these specific people I listed first and provided evidence since you previously said my evidence was "all over the place" when I asked you to denounce them the first time

A sad attempt at deflection to denounce them specifically. So, can you do it or not?

I already said I denounce racist actions regardless of the race of the racists, why can't you do the same?

this seems like something that would be so easy to do? why can't you do it?

Then denounce those specific people as my original question stated.

Do you really think you are actually being clever to pretend to denounce all racists but not these specific racists so you can claim later in your head you didn't agree they were actually racists and therefore no need to denounce them?

Now, answer the question directly about these specific people I listed and provided evidence of their recaism. Do you denounce them specifically or not? My bet is you will keep running away.

And that’s your right but some/many people have a hard time believing him due to his admittance then denial and frankly while whether he is the picture on his yearbook page is important it’s also important to note his bungling of this entire episode imo. Saying he’d done blackface previously and debating on whether to show the press his moon walk. I think for the people in Virginia they deserve better than a basically lame duck governor imo

Yes slavery was the top priority but let’s be real it was also a power struggle between states and federal government with longer term implications then just slavery.

Personally I believe Trump is a reflection of the voters, the rise of social media and its ability to artificially inflate people’s sense of important is the largest culprit in the downfall in social discourse imo

Yes, states wanted to be independent. But when Lincoln was elected on an anti slavery platform, that set into motion the struggle to be independent.
So they could keep and expand slavery.

My dad always raised the point that the southern plantation operators would have been smarter had they freed the slaves, paid them a wage, made them rent houses from them, buy groceries/supplies from them. By the time the free slaves paid rent bought supplies they plantation operators would have been a head. It’s basically what happens now most people are living under the illusion of freedom while paying most/a lot of their money back to the government imo
