    Yes, military veterans are a small percentage of the electorate, but female Americans are participating in politics at a significantly higher level, and female veterans are now being elected to Congress at a rate that is unprecedented.

    Yes, only about 7% of Americans are military veterans but, no matter how you spin it, progress has begun.

    We are referencing surveys of Americans. The electoral college has not been surveyed, but all indications are that Trump's marginal victories in Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Michigan would be repeated.

    Trump’s approval is below 40 percent in Michigan (36 percent), Pennsylvania (35 percent) and Wisconsin (34 percent)

    I have seen no source that shows the 5% of Americans who are male, military veterans are being elected to Congress at anywhere near the rate of female veterans, nor that male Americans - veterans or otherwise - are showing the upsurge in political participation and candidacies as are female Americans.

    As we saw in 2016, the popular vote makes little difference.
    Congress does not elect presidents. The people through the electoral college elects presidents.

    That was then. His razor-edge margins in Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and Michigan are highly unlikely to be repeated now that they have actually witnessed two years of Trumpery, and no poll in any of those states suggests otherwise.

    General McChrystal violated the UCMJ himself when he openly criticized Trump. He is not a former general. He is still a general. His official title is "US Army, General, Retired.
