Polls show that most Americans approve of the FBI and believe Trump is obstructing justice

Well this isn't surprising to me at all. I'm glad the public agrees with some of my views on this. Trump's attacks don't seem to be working as far as public opinion is concerned. It seemingly has backfired. It's time for Trump to try a new tactic other than disparaging the fine men and women of the FBI who work to protect us. Interesting to see most think he obstructed justice on the Russia probe.

Before extreme right posters lie about oversampling (which is used to make polls more accurate, by the way), their 24% Republican, 29% Democrat, and 40% Independent split sample is close to projected national averages:

    http://news.gallup.com/poll/15370/party-affiliation.aspx
    2018 Jan 2-7
    Republicans
    22%
    Independents 44%
    Democrats 32%

There are just more democrat identifications at the moment. Or even last year,
    http://news.gallup.com/poll/223124/democratic-party-maintains-edge-party-affiliation.aspx

And the accuracy and tilt of QP polling,

Did Democrats adore the FBI during the FBI investigation of Hillary? My gosh, seems they hated the FBI and hated Comey too.

They also love it when their polls oversample the people that hate Trump the most and pretend its legitimate :D

Both polls over sample Democrats and Independents and under sample Republicans.

    Therefore, both polls are bogus.

I can't tell you if their sample poll is bogus but if it is accurate, one thing is certain. They are over sampling IDIOTS. :roflol: You only need to read various political forums to take the pulse of anyone with a clue.

The 24%/29%/40% split sample is close to projected national average:

    http://news.gallup.com/poll/15370/party-affiliation.aspx
    Republicans Independents Democrats
    2018 Jan 2-7
    22 44 32

Meaning they under-sampled Democrats, if anything.

Please do not insult my intelligence or that of PF posters with debunked conspiracy theories that are only found in blog posts. By the ways, oversampling and/or weighting are normal polling methodologies, used in several polls to increase accuracy:

    http://www.pewresearch.org/fact-tan...-to-study-small-groups-not-bias-poll-results/
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oversampling

    https://www.theatlantic.com/politic...-polling-conspiracy-that-doesnt-exist/505211/

On top of the fact that political affiliation rating in polls is seen as a constantly shifting mood. On top of the fact that QP Polling is extremely accurate and highly rated.

    https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/pollster-ratings/
    Quinnipiac University A- R+0.7. (They favor R by .7, not D)

Please stop trashing up every poll thread with the same subjective blog theories. Thank you.

That data is over a year old and invalid. Affiliation/Identification constantly shifts. I'm using January 2018/ December 2017 party affiliation and identification polling by gallup, which is constantly shifting. Which is the same measure QP used for sampling.

    http://news.gallup.com/poll/223124/democratic-party-maintains-edge-party-affiliation.aspx
    http://news.gallup.com/poll/15370/party-affiliation.aspx

There is zero data showing QP is using incorrect methodology.

There is zero data showing QP having an inaccurate polling history.

To state otherwise, I would need direct citation from a reliable source that QP specifically is playing at this wrong.

I concur; I think Americans are getting sick and tired of all the games the republicans have been playing over the past 8 years. The 2018 elections cannot come fast enough. Maybe this time democrat voters will put down their gaming devices, get off of their butts and get out and vote. It's the only way to put a stop to this craziness that the republicans have created.

Which is generous, last month there was 10% more according got Gallup.

It's not always oversampling (which isn't even a bad thing so I have no clue what they are on about). More people identify as Democrats at the moment. Thus polls will have more Democratic identifications in their random sample. You know, statistics!

Guavaballs is spamming nonsense in every poll thread.

Americans haven't followed close enough to know the FBI & Justice Dept gave up on a solid case against Hillary but have gone on a baseless expedition against Trump.

If you don't follow the news closely, you end up believing the msm's allegations of "collusion".

    1. No they don't. Please understand the facts,

    http://news.gallup.com/poll/15370/party-affiliation.aspx
    Republicans Independents Democrats
    2018 Jan 2-7
    22 44 32

The poll over samples Republicans and under samples Democrats. More people identify as Democrats for a while now.

    2. This is a trash meme. Oversampling is used to make polls more accurate, I have no clue what you're going on about by using it as negative verb. Please research polling. I made several links available.

Oh he knows. He's just trying to trick other posters. There is no way to factually counter these polls, so the only way to mitigate them is to lie about them.

No. QP was only off by 4 points and selected the correct winner for national opinion.

The national polls in general were correct, and only off by 2 points.

They are accurately sampling the population: there are more Dems than Pubs, yes, it is so. Hmmm.

Poll: Majority of Republicans Believe the FBI Is Trying to 'Delegitimize' Trump....

How do Republicans feel about the FBI? Well, it's complicated. It enjoyed the party's trust a few years ago in January 2015, when Reuters polling found that 84 percent of Republicans had a "favorable" view of the agency. Just last month, Reuters found that 91 percent of Republicans had confidence in the law enforcement agencies.

Now? Seventy-three percent of Republicans say that “members of the FBI and Department of Justice are working to delegitimize Trump through politically motivated investigations.”

Three in four Democrats, meanwhile, believe it's the other way around. “Members of the Republican Party and the White House are working to delegitimize the FBI and DOJ in the investigation of Russian tampering in the 2016 presidential election,” they believe, according to Reuters polling.......snip~

    https://townhall.com/tipsheet/cortn...fbi-took-a-deep-dive-from-last-month-n2445152

    Imagine that!

Then due to negative media coverage on Trump.

One final intriguing statistic from Reuters: Fifty-two percent of Americans say they believe Trump or someone from his campaign colluded with Russia.....snip~

    https://townhall.com/tipsheet/cortn...fbi-took-a-deep-dive-from-last-month-n2445152

Now Independents and those that lean Right......know why the Lame Stream must be dealt with for colluding with the Democrats.
