No winner. http://abcnews.go.com/US/powerball-winning-numbers-picked-900-million-jackpot/story?id=36184696
Yup, that's what I had heard. Okie doke... I'll try again. What I could do w/$1.3B would be amazing! In fact, I bet all my liberal neighbors would actually LUV me!....lol!
I'll use my $4 winning ticket to buy 2 but that is it for me. I am not putting more money out of pocket into it. at $1.3B, some gambling syndicate will try to buy all the possible combinations.
Haven't check my tickets yet - will do it tomorrow...I usually don't invest anymore than $10.... Yeah, I'm sure you're right about some gambling syndicate. I've heard of that happening. I'm running out of steam. Going to post something on the Cosby thread, then head for my pillow.....
No one won again... It's a conspiracy.. lol I cant even believe it's billions... This is crazy... My brother matched 3/5 and won 7 bucks lol... I'll bet it's 1.5 billion by Wednesday...
If you don't play, you cant win On the other hand if you have 300 mil in the bank...just buy out every combination of numbers, I say a worthy investment. This thing needs to just roll over at this point and have the money put into something worthwhile...
What you could do { is advisable } is call friends and neighbors for the best Lawyer they know of.You'll undoubtedly need the next best thing to a Ben Ginsberg or Bob Bennett. You'll be audited before even establishing a new bank account for the dough. In fact, the IRS will probably rent next door to whatever new Home you purchase just to keep an eye on all your new toys.
I smell a rat. What are the chances that No Winning number is established. The Powerball people surely must know that a winning number has to be out there somewhere. They can't run a LOTTO and have more numbers in the pool than actual players { numbers picked }. Or can a LOTTO commission. ? What are the actual odds in a LOTTO Matrix.
You do the math.Well actually a Professor at Caltech has.The Odds of winning a powerball is 1 in 300 million. There is no such thing as lucky numbers. And picking random numbers is no better than just 1,2,3,4,5,6 . The order of numbers does not improve the odds, either. What does improve the Odds is simply Not Playing. Better still ... don't show any interest.A Rhesus monkey has a far better chance of being a world-class Astronaut than some city slicker schlub winning a Powerball. It's like - Lifestyles of the Rich & Famous -.Once a huge hit. Very popular.Yet growing up The most happy and content Kids were generally Little Rascals { Poor but happy } while the Rich kid down the block was always generally seen with that funny grimace on his mug.
Oh that's right nevermind, I forgot its $2 per set of numbers. Well, loosen up the purse strings, drop 2 bucks in the bucket an sweet dreams I guess. - - - Updated - - - You forget, It's like fireworks or going on vacation. In this case .$2 for fun is all it takes sometimes.
I won 4 bucks last night.... Guess I'll go ahead and disregard any math skills I might have and try a second time as well.... If I win, I'm going to buy a giant mansion in the mountains that's only accessible via helicopter. And turrets, gonna need turrets too....
It quickly becomes a pastime. Then almost as quickly a way of life. You may even regard as a religion.Swearing allegiance every pay day or Friday { or Wednesday } to picking that winning number.Or scratch off.I think it the closest thing to being sick in the head as having a fever. At least one can manage a fever and see how it lessens. There is No lessening once the LOTTO bug hits. It's straight to the head and then the heart.Making one feel as if they have no Heart if they don't play. It's entirely psychological and driven. Like consuming Potato Chips.Or Popcorn.
Just let my winnings ride on the next draw. Got me two tickets before the comm lines melt. When I win I am putting a pipe organ in my house so that my minions will have to play dramatic music every time I walk in. My body guards will also have to know how to play accordions and bigpipes as to announce my arrival and departure when I am away from the house, and for the changing of the guards ceremony.
Impossible, timewise, unless they could somehow hijack every lottery machine, - - - Updated - - - The problem with the idea of buying all the numbers is the time factor--getting every single number put in within a week would requires quite a few machines, and quite a few people filling out those little slips. - - - Updated - - - Of course you can have more numbers in the pool than players. That's how it works. Basically speaking, you have 1 in about 295 million chance of winning.
I might actually give it a try. I mean it'd be taxed to hell, but with that money I'd be quite happy. I don't need much for myself - I'd honestly donate hundreds of millions to libertarian causes in New England. Sure I'd splurge and get a few fancy homes, but 500k buys a fancy home imo. That's just more money than I'd know what to do with so, like I say, I'd give most of it away - to libertarian organizations, and to charities. I'd love to fund great charities like Worldvision, WWP, and might even donate to help those American vets fighting ISIS with the Kurds. ,) - - - Updated - - - Don't forget a shark infested moat - even if it's only for show.
I don't see that as doable. I would think that there are things in place from doing so, like keeping a computer from logging into the lottery site and producing all those combinations of numbers even if they are paid for on the up-and-up. You'd have to come up with those tickets that you fill out with your personal numbers (5 per card, 300M / 5) and fill them out. That would take time. Then, you'd have to run them through the lottery machines one at a time, which would take a lot of time, even if you had a LOT of people doing it. AND, on top of that, what if someone somewhere else in the country had a winning ticket combination too? Or two or more people with a winning combination? Not really feasible.
I heard on the radio that the Powerball is now at $1.4 Million. As determined by the Lotto Commission.I wonder how they arrive at that. Number of tickets sold ? I don't play so I don't know.Is a Powerball ticket from 2 weeks ago and that number still good.
Yes, it's from tickets sold. The payout is a percentage of the money from sold tickets - payouts. No, Powerball tickets are only good for the drawing you paid for. You can buy a ticket for multiple weeks, but you have to pay for each drawing.
They have done it with smaller lotteries. They had the tickets printed and then contracted with some grocery store chain to have their employees running tickets through continuously. Powerball tickets are not only available in the US though.
Up to $1.5 Billion this Tuesday. " I'll gladly pay you Tuesday for a Hamburger and Powerball today. "
Donate mine to PF. They really need new toilet seats in the men's room. Somebody has been carving names in them with their switchblade again.
