These headlines say a lot about the quality of leadership currently being offered by the new conservative right and alt-right. What an incredible mess! Solution? If you've been helping get these imbeciles elected, change your voting habits.

Yes... because someone could have stopped three major hurricanes from hitting the US in as many weeks, and did not do so because of failed leadership.
    What a maroon.

Puerto Rico is wrecked, NK is threatening nuclear war, and a few pampered millionaires are protesting the police and the American flag while being protected by them.

Sorry Lefties, "look a squirrel!" isn't going to work on this.

LW sidles up to a fruit tree and sees lots of low hanging identity politics fruit of the type it loves to pick. Realizes a bit too late that the tree is full of angry hornet nests swarming out. Runs away screeching and claiming the fruit wasn't any good anyway.

Latest spin on sour grapes, LW style.

I wasn't referring to controlling the hurricanes, but what followed them. To cite just one example: the Jones Act, which prevents aid from being shipped to Puerto Rico by any outside nation willing to help, unless their aid arrives on U.S. merchant ships directly from a U.S. port. Trump has recently commented that deferring the Jones Act would be harmful to U.S. shipping interests, so he wouldn't even consider it--even though 3.5 million Puerto Ricans are in a life threatening situation and in need of every possible aid. Trump offers ineptitude as leadership.

Do you have any issue with the way the federal government handled Harvey and Irma?
... something enacted to protect US shipping on the Great lakes and the blue collar jobs that go with it, virtually unknown to everyone until just recently... is no longer an issue.

PR isn't Houston and it isn't FL - it was hit by the 3rd major hurricane in as many weeks, and is separated from the closest US port city by 1100 miles of ocean. Anyone who expects an immediate and overwhelming response has no understanding of logistics.

Actually they are hoping against hope that Right of Center people forget precisely who and what Obama was and what sort of president he turned out to be for eight miserable years.

FEMA didn't get out of San Juan for over a week. Puerto Rico is more than just one city.

You'd better get your union boys in line then. This is what they have to say about it:

    http://ttd.org/wp-content/uploads/2015/01/TTDLetterMcCainAmendment.pdf

Oh wait, that's what they were saying about it back in 2015 when John McCain wanted to repeal it. This is what they say now:

True or False: This one of those, liberals eating their own type situations.

    True...

Strange as the US military have a fleet of fast cargo ships known as Sealift Command to support the needs of the US military world wide and that could move food, water, fuel and medical supplies by the meg tons at need to PR.

Of course Trump would need to act as president in order to have the sealift command go into action taking time from his twitters concerning football players.

I find this post so hypocritical....

First and foremost, Trump simply sent out a few tweets, 99% of his time has been allocated to helping PR and other things. I have family in PR, i hear the real stories and not just what MSM reports. Trump is working with the governor, in constant communication.

So let's just sit back and appreciate how hypocritical this is. Trump is spending about 1% of his tim tweeting about NFL and what about MSM? 90% focusing on the Trump tweets and NFL, they even had a f town hall about it! It's a f disgrace and so disgustingly hypocritical.

Not only this, why isn't NFL donating millions to Havery? Irma? Maria victims? and taking trips to these places? Why isn't NFL protesting the lack of policing in inner cities where thousands of blacks are killed by other blacks in a year? Why only protest the few blacks killed by white cops, most the time justified shootings? Why isn't NFL taking a knee to solve the real big issues african americans face? black on black crime, lack of good schools, breakdown of family in inner cities? These are by far, much bigger issues for blacks than the occasional bad cop.

MSM, blacks, NFL are disgustingly hypocritical and i would go as far as to say racist, by not focusing on black issues and only giving a platform to white people bashing when white people/cops are far from the biggest problems blacks face today.

and lately MSM has been doing better job at covering PR, i saw Cooper was there last night but beforehand, they were NFL/Trump bashing 90% of the time. I think they realized they needed to stop being so hypocritical and started covering PR more but what a disgrace.
