You grouping together to voice a concern that affects you and others who share a common trait is one thing. Others grouping you and treating you according to that grouping as if you were interchangeable with others they put in that group is something else entirely. When done on the basis of race it is racism. And we are seeing more and more of this lately on the left (which used to oppose such treatment).
Most Countries are like most people, Far from perfect, probably a few skeletons in the closet, learning as they go. I can say with a high degree of confidence that most Americans of all races are very happy here warts and all, and wouldn’t want to live anywhere else. I highly doubt that most blacks if given the option of a free ticket back to Africa would take it. Seems like a lot more people are trying to get into America than leave it. For those that don’t like it here, don’t let the boarder hit you on the way out.

But why would you say they should leave the US rather than make it better? If a group from 1920 came to the US today they'd be appalled or thrilled by society today. The ultimate goal of mankind is now and ever should be to make lives better for all. Yet many believe it's already great and if others don't like it they should leave. When the US is great for everyone then it will have arrived and until then steps forward need to be constantly encouraged.
As a tiny minority white where I live in Africa I face two main racism's. I'm white and must be rich and educated is a given to almost all and then I'm either a devil trying to steal there country or a saint trying to help heal their country. Few just view me as a friend willing to teach whatever they want me to and who has no money and I am certainly no saint nor am I a devil. But there is a third smaller group that knows that I am here to offer my knowledge. They are who I care most about and work with. They take skills from me and pass them on to people who otherwise would not have that chance. I first came as a Peace Corps volunteer and I guess I just got stuck in that mold.
yep, happens with all groups, always will be a minority of them sadly that hate "others" cause they are different from them, left, right, black, white, religious, ect.... it's sad.... I think as more people feel economic pain in the usa from excessive outsourcing and excessive foreign imports and soon AI... it's all gonna get worse as groups blame "others" for their issues cause by these greedy corporations
Actually, businesses have for centuries tried to make themselves more efficient. Each generation needs to adapt to that and create jobs accordingly. Obviously science, business, health, infotech and engineering need more and more people for example just like at one time blacksmiths were turned into engineers. But then a larger prime needs to be put on people in service industries as the better that they perform the better their engineer customers perform. The better our entertainment industry the better everyone else performs. All aspects of society have a place in growing or collapsing a society. The only real enemy is greed.
The problem with your premise of making America great for everyone is it’s very subjective. “Better” means something different to everyone. A lot of people already view America as a successful, capitalist Country where anyone who wants to work hard can succeed. Perfect? Nothing is, but most think were pretty good. Personally, I’m okay with always trying to be better, but those that think America is fundamentally bad, like some posters here, if they haven’t already should find another place where they like it better.
Greed can often be a by product of capitalism. We need those driven, creative entrepreneurs to create great things and opportunities for all. If we look to stifle their at times greed, than I believe we would be worse off as a country. The greed is somewhere within most people , and can help drive them to be successful, which often creates jobs and other helpful things for all. We do have systems in place to protect us from companies becoming too big and being a monopoly. Certain industries like utilities are regulated by the government. If the answer to greed is more socialism or communism, than I think most Americans would prefer to put up with some greed.
Some greed but ambition is to be applauded. But our economy now dances to the hyper rich now and they're asking for a fight. Too many hyper rich pay too little taxes. If the tax brackets were a flat tax based on zero first $15000, 10% next $15000, etc until maxed at 30% for over $500000 the debt would be paid off entirely in 20 years if everyone paid. Then you could cut taxes and keep government strong financially. But congress fears such a plan because many of them get millions from people who pay no taxes. Sad really. They could make a lot more as everyone else starts making a lot more but that would make them seem less rich if everyone lived fancier lives. The 50s and 60s killed us because unions had everyone making good money, even the rich, but the boomers hit the work force, more blacks were getting educated and the rich went to town. Today the hyper rich income continues to skyrocket but not the rest of us and they have all kinds of reasons yet none of them is their swelling greed.
