I dont see anything controversial in Cruz's fathers remarks. It seems rather obvious to me.

 

I would say so. Certainly there were folks who claimed that after the perceived racist remarks from Wright were made public their likelihood in voting for Obama changed.

So I an not sure what your argument is at this point. Clearly, as I have stated in the OP, it is my opinion that this continued rhetoric of someone so close to Cruz can have adverse political consequences, and there is certainly a precedent for that in regards to Obama with Wright.
