Oakland is doomed to fail. I cannot think of a team in any sport that make worse personel moves and front office miscalculations. If only you could win championships with place kickers and punters.
You mean youre not buying into the Broncos now that Tebows top gun? Lions are pretenders...their 5 wins are against teams that currently sit at 13-18 collectively. Two losses... 9-4 BTW in 1156 Arabs invented the condom using the lower intestines of a sheep. In 1863 the British reinvented it by removing the intestine from the sheep first.
Yep, sadly Palmer has never been the same since his playoff injury back in the day. At that time he was on path to joining Manning and Brady among the best QBs in the NFL. He was knocked off that path after that injury, and never got back on it. He had some decent years since, but he never got back to the point he was at in 2005.
Yes, but so is/was Jay Cutler for my Bears. That doesn't mean the Bears didn't give up WAY too much for him, because they did!! He is better than Kyle Orton, but not 2 first rounders and a 3rd rounder better. The same is true of Palmer and Campbell. Palmer may be better, but not that much better to justify giving up that much to get him.
Carson Palmer was loathed in Cincinnatti. All on account of his attitude. Instead of standing with his fellow teamates during the strike he was chumming up to belligerent Owner Mike Brown.Palmer turned out to be a teacher's pet with Mike Brown whose philosophy on Football is simple ... An NFL Team has to have a Big Name quarterback as no team can win w/o the most important position on the field.Brown believed in spending most of a team's salary on it's Quarterback.Which was the problem the Bengals faced. They needed Defensive backs and down lineman and Brown { who was the NFL's Last Owner/General Manager combined and scout } ran the club using family members and skimping on staff/players.It got to the point that Palmer didn't have a single friend in all of Cinci besides Brown, who Palmer was seen on occassion sitting with in his Luxury box during games.
