I'd think it had no link to our countries founding. Persecuted, discriminated Christians came here from England and other countries to seek refuge.

I thought that was the question? I gave more than a few examples. I guess what's good for the goose....

What about Jews? Many fled Christians
Why should Christians be more special? You said that Christians tried to escape discrimination but yet you have no problem wanting to do the same thing with other groups in this country

Many Jews fled Christians in the late 1600's to the new world from Europe?

Why do you think Christians are more special? I don't remember saying that.

I have no problem wanting to discriminate against what other religious groups in this country?

Me thinks a skunk is afoot.

They must be special because you keep writing how this is a Christian country, If you want to make this country a Christian country you are discriminating against other religious groups. Methinks a skunk is the afoot also.....and it ain’t me.
Jews fled the good Christians in Germany ...and the Inquisition

Approximately 98% of the colonists were Christian. I'm sorry if you hurt because of that. Who would the founding fathers have been considering, Muslims, Buddhists, or Antipastarians? I made up that last one.

I want this country to be Christian? What makes you think that? I talked about yoga being taught in public schools and don't like it because it violates the Constitution, and I think, even worse than prayer in school, saying 'under god' in the pledge of allegiance, and having a plaque with the ten commandments on it out in front of a public school?

That's just proof that the Constitution is violated by judges, the supreme court of jesters, congress and many special interest groups. It's really a defense of the Constitution.

Jews in Germany didn't flee any good Christians, because good Christians would not murder them or try to exterminate them. Christians, atheists, pagans, satanists, and others, followed a mad man and anything they thought would bring them work and food. They followed this mad man and socialism of the nationalist style, into the depths of depravity.

Tell me one human, including yourself, who has not followed the wrong path at least once. These folks just wanted relief from the crushing poverty inflicted on them by the "victors" of WWI. Though the U.S. was a part of the war at the end. I can't imagine a reason, other than to be a part of the 'rape' of Germans. WWII was inevitable.

Good Christians fail, just like good anything. That's why there is no man who is good, but only the father. Get it, now? We all sin. Some much worse than others. Germans were desperate because of the 'winners'. Put that kind of desperation on anyone and they will fight their way out. Thank Woodrow Wilson an avowed socialist, and his ilk for that. That's what you get when you let them have power.

The inquisition wasn't all that and a bag of chips. There is propaganda on both sides. I noticed you mentioned nothing of the Buddhists who murdered and warred with Hindus. I noticed you mentioned nothing of the atheists who've slaughtered Christians by the millions in the take over of Russia and it's monarchical society. I noticed you mentioned nothing of the atheists who starved millions of mostly Christians in Eastern Europe and are still murdering them today. I noticed you mentioned nothing about Muslims in India murdering Christians or raping their women. I noticed you mentioned nothing of the Christians in Africa being enslaved or murdered by Muslims.

You can site many evils of the human race, and attribute them to Christians. Good job taking higher ground than those horrible Christians.

    Something else, @Renee...

Jesus Christ was the first Christian, no? He established Christianity for the Jews. They, for the most part, didn't believe him. Gentiles ended up believing. Christianity sprung out of Judaism. No good Christian hates Jews. Sorry, they may disagree, but they have roots that intertwine deeply.

    Another thing, @Renee.........

Wasn't it mostly Americans, English, Canadians, Australians, and many other mostly Christian countries from the west who helped to liberate Jews from Germany? Come now, let's think a little.

Christianity is like Greek Fire. If you leave it alone, it eventually burns out. But the harder you try to extinguish it, the faster it spreads.

I would pose that theres shawdowy forces trying to spread Christianity thusly, given the the energy with which the global elites focus on trying to extinguish it, but they've failed to grasp the dynamic of the Streissand Effect so epicly with everything else, I really think they're just morons that can't learn the new game.

@Renee, Spain was an ally of the Nazis during WWII. Hitler helped Spain in their Civil War of the '30s and honed his military there. The Spanish are not innocent. Many are, however, socialists of the national variety.

I suggest you go the HolocaustMuseum. There is an exhibit there now that talks about the neighbors. It talks about how the Jews were being dragged down stairs and the neighbors we’re going upstairs to loot their Apartments. Maybe you should learn about Kristallnacht and how the Christians destroyed the businesses and properties of the Jews. Maybe you should learn that those guards who slaughtered children and women and men were Christians. Or do you believe that they suddenly stopped believing in Jesus. You act as though Christianity is a club and you can kick someone out of it.
We have millions of Muslims living in this country and they aren’t committing these atrocities. But what you were doing is scapegoating them just the way Hitler did with the Jews and I find that scary

No...just some many individuals. I’m sure you recall Roosevelt sending back jews on the St. Louis to die. Someone I learned who took a risk was Lyndon Johnson. If all these countries took action there would not have been 6 million Jews and 3 million others killed. Come now let’s think a little. What about the Christians in Austria? In France? In Poland?

Those were only Christians doing those barbarous things? Okay, Renee, your friends might believe you, but anyone with a brain will see through this.

You don't seem to have a clue about what I posted, nor Christianity.

Look up the Chapter where Jesus says something like, "I never knew you". Maybe it will help you.

Scapegoating Muslims? I pointed to Muslims as the cause of the holocaust? I pointed to Muslims as the only other participants in the efforts of the Third Reich? Come on Renee. You don't really understand what went on, do you? I can tell.

Oh my, your arguments are getting worse. Are you a victim of some illness? I'm sorry, Renee. I feel badly for you. Many French fell on the side of the Nazis. Women slept with Nazis to appease them, instead of standing up for their rights. They must have believed having their children would be better than becoming martyrs for the greater good.

Actually I think you should feel sorry for yourself because of your total lack of knowledge actually believing the Christians did not take part in the extermination of another religion. This is quotable for an example of the victim blaming but you seem to be very good at it was the women’s fault...lol

I find everything which defends 'rights' as trouble brewing. Why extend that which is already received as not received?

If you tell one Religion it is ok, by giving them a pass, and then restrict another, that is trouble not only brewing, but served.

If you agree that people should not wear certain symbols as personal jewelry because it offends others of another Religion.

There are other examples, placing one groups ideologies above another group.

Why even 'tell' or 'give' permission? I dont need to be given permission to buy alcohol if I'm over the legal age.

I don't need to be given permission to engage in legal sexual activities. Legal. Legal..

I don't need to be given permission to do 'legal' things.

If I was in a country that prohibited alcohol consumption, then I would need permission to consume alcohol.

Who said being a Buddhist or Muslim or Christian, in the U.S, or any other 'faith' was infringement upon the 'legal'? It is not illegal to be a Buddhist or Muslim or Christian.. so what is this 'religious freedom' all about?

Are they asking for work related rights... not so much religious freedom?

'Please give me the same pay as you do to the Christians', type thing?

This is combining money with GOD.

Matthew 6:24 "No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon."

Are some 'religious' trying to work 'around' this?

If job applications and interviews do not 'ask' you to disclose sexual or religious or political affiliation, then why have any concern?

Giving that knowledge to the hiring managers is voluntary.. and maybe that's why they don't hire them.... because they didn't answer the question but rather went on a tangent.

And if things are going to get this web weaved to the exactness of job hiring procedures, then it is more 'to the letter' than to the performance.

They are supposed to be guides in their departments..

Matthew 23:24 " Ye blind guides, which strain at a gnat, and swallow a camel."

Guides blind those straining out the gnat the moreover camel swallowing... (greek word for word)

Another way of looking at this verse is: Why try to accomplish something if you're only going to make it worse...

Why strain the water out for gnats but leave the roaches alone?

The English version left out 'straining out' and used 'strain at'...

Matthew 23:24 " Ye blind guides, which strain at a gnat, and swallow a camel."

Matthew 23:24 " Ye blind guides, which are straining out the gnat, but moreover, swallowing the camel."

Matthew 23:24 " Blind guides, those which are straining out the gnat, yet moreover, swallowing the camel."

I can't find the 'ye/you' in the greek.

That depends on social interactions, if you live in a dry community, around teetotalers, you may be criticized for a bit of moderate alcohol use.

Many Bible Belt communities are dry, no alcohol sales, you need to travel to another Town or not drink.

They only need to travel to another town to buy their alcohol and bring it back home. They don't prohibit the consumption of alcohol, only the sale of alcohol.

Then they shouldn’t get any tax benefits or write offs.
I think we should have segregated restaurants s like the good old days and deny women access to the top universities, (sarcasm alert)
