Nobody who knows anything about climatology is saying what you are raving against here.

For just one example, the straw issue isn't even about climate.

Exactly. Its about dimwits behaving like numbnuts because they stopped thinking about reality which started them fearing a future that relies on freedom of thought.

Freedom is not a threat to individuals; dogma and fists are--and that's the essence of today's apoplectic ecologists, environmentalists, and climatologists.

Human activity will not destroy the earth--the creative mind will reshape it into an Atlantis to honor its own soul.

Ayn Rand: "Without machines and technology, the task of mere survival is a terrible, mind-and-body-wrecking ordeal. In “nature,” the struggle for food, clothing and shelter consumes all of a man’s energy and spirit; it is a losing struggle—the winner is any flood, earthquake or swarm of locusts. (Consider the 500,000 bodies left in the wake of a single flood in Pakistan; they had been men who lived without technology.) To work only for bare necessities is a luxury that mankind cannot afford." http://aynrandlexicon.com/lexicon/ecology-environmental_movement.html

Greta and her generation are worrying about that which will never be because they haven't been taught to create, they've been taught to fear what creation requires, the independent mind.

LOL - wow, did you ever miss on that one!

Scientists are the ones who actually study this stuff. They are the ones who know what is known.

Suggesting that YOU know better or that ignoring science is better is ridiculoucs.

Greta isn't a scientist, but she does listen to scientists - as we all should, if we're at all interested in what's actually happening. She's inspiring others to listen to science, too.

Your Ayn Rand quote doesn't apply here. Moving toward clean energy, not polluting the water, etc., are positive for everyone's quality of life.

Any scientist who claims eating hamburgers will melt the North Pole is a quack. I’ll trust my own independent judgment. And here’s the truth—The Poles will not melt. The Polar Bear will not disappear. 500 years from it will still snow in Fargo in January. 1000 years from now it will still be warm and sunny in Belize in February, and Mars will be a thriving capitalist society. And in 2525 Man will still be alive living free and prosperous, LA will still be above water, and it will still be colder than hell at the North Pole.

Any move toward the future that starts with a gun pointed at the mind of man is a return to the Dark Ages.

And if it does get too damn hot, and the sky is set on fire, Walter Pidgeon will take the Seaview and nuke the blaze and put the fire out.

At lastly, it would be wise to remember, scientists are not omniscient.

Don't tell me a scientist claim eating hamburgers will melt the North Pole without citing the scientist.

    So, cite who said that.

There are serious ramifications of climate change - issues you don't bother to mention, while you pretend you know something.

Remember, there is scientific consensus, and then there are opinions by political morons. There was never a scientific consensus of global cooling. this is a story meant to confuse you.

    Science isn’t consensus, it’s facts.

Ok, so what were the facts? The expert consensus that the earth was warming, or the tiny number who thought it was cooling?

The same could be said of you, and with more accuracy.

However, just what human activity is changing the planet? Just what human activity is there that doesn’t involve CO2?

Here’s an interesting article on the folly of climate predictions:

“Climate change over the next 20 years could result in a global catastrophe costing millions of lives in wars and natural disasters,” The Guardian reported Feb. 22, 2004.“—https://thehollywoodconservative.us/articles/scientists-claimed-the-world-would-end-this-week

Here is the only fact that matters—Cooling or warming, the creative mind will overcome all, with ideas, not guns.

A circle is 360 degrees, consensus or fact? Or maybe, a Kantian subjective construct, or perhaps post—modern delirium?

Yeah.... except the creative mind can't overcome reality.. and it can't do much when we ignore all of the evidence.

There is nothing real about the apocalyptic climate fear mongers except a truth of physics, heat is a form of energy, and a truth of biology, humans being humans are very energetic.

As for limits on the creative mind, as spaceships aptly demonstrate, not even the law of gravity can clip the wings of the creative mind.

Now, this is what I’m talking about, the creative genius of the creative mind.

“A BONKERS plot to move our Solar System using a giant device powered by the Sun has been cooked up by a top scientist.

The “stellar engine” could be used to shift Earth trillions of miles if it were threatened by a deadly asteroid shower or space explosion.”

    https://www.thesun.co.uk/tech/10655655/stellar-engine-move-sun-solar-system-earth-asteroids/amp/

Maybe it’s science fiction, maybe it’s a creative mind exploring possibilities, but the best thing it is, is the “can do” attitude of the creative mind, instead of the “Poor! Poor! Pitiful me” mantra of the climate apocalyptics—who love to cry, “Help! Help! The sky is falling
” and who offer suicide as a viable option. And, yes, banning fossil fuels is suicide.

    The Cool Down Is Coming
    :oldman:

    Good flick.
    Just watched it.

    When it comes.
    It comes on fast.
    Not like warming.

Imagine an Ice Age in less than a decade.
    Are YOU prepared?
Are modern nations even considering contingency plans.

No scientist is saying that eating hamburgers will melt the North Pole.

AND, suggesting that your own judgement without being informed by science is superior is just as nonsensical.

Then, you duplicate the same problem with your last statement. No human is omniscient. But, climatology is dedicated to understanding climate issues. And, others are not. Ignoring science on climate makes no more sense than your comment about hamburgers.

    Hilarious!

But, they should at least make up some fake credentials for the actors.

Taking bets @WillReadmore did not watch ten minutes of the program.
And replies as a "monosynaptic" reflex void of cerebration.

I enjoy the intersection of recorded history and climate change.
I learned from this program that skeletons in Europe became taller
during the Medieval Climate Optimum. How it related to the Viking
expansion and subsequent failures with the onset of the Little Ice Age.
It discusses the association of Ocean Currents, etc.

    Message Betting Interests.

I watched it because I wanted to see who was propagating garbage like that.

My bet is it is a total hoax right down to the fake name of the "guy" who posted it on youtube.

    Very disingenuous on your part.

If you really care about climate change you'll stop eating burgers

Doomsday scientists are quacks, and I’m smarter than any quack. Hell, they can’t predict snow on Christmas one day out, but can predict the end of LA in 12 years. Good luck with that.

You’re smarter than scientists? You’ll trust your judgment over expert authorities? Astonishing, but I applaud it.

we are due another ice age, will we skip it because on man made climate change, will the earth heat up even more if it doesn't go through that cooling cycle, hard to tell exactly what the long term outlook of man made climate change will be, all we know for sure is that we are having an impact

Man will remake the universe into his own personal paradise, and it will be good, and life will flourish. For Man is Master of the Universe, and that's a scientific fact if by Master of the Universe you mean Creator of His Own Destiny.

Predicting weather is more difficult than predicting climate.

I like your cite! It's true that what the population of earth eats does make a difference.

But, your claim was a gross misrepresentation of that - clearly made on purpose.
