At $20/hr minimum wage, people can't afford a McDonald's meal.

In that case, What factors do you believe have lead to the slower economic growth in states with higher minimum wage?

What does your reference say about the intersection of the supply vs. economic demand curve.

    Yes they can.
In the midwest, MdD's is starting wages at $16/hr.

But you keep posting this stuff without any data to support your opinion.
Do some research, per your own suggestion.

Progressive governance which ignored the science shutdown their respective economies. Sweden, Japan, and South Korea for example did not shut down.

Many of the other issues you posted earlier.
Overcrowding. Over taxed. Long drives to workplace. Free market costs of living.

95+% of wages are free market driven. Min wages only affect a tiny tiny portion of the workforce.

Progressive governance exists globally. BRW the economy of California is the fifth largest in the world. The economy of New York is the tenth largest economy in the world.

I don’t need to. The price set by the producer determines the number of products sold.

Not for those who have limited education and very little job experience. Those are the people who desperately need entry level jobs. And those are the people priced out of jobs due to the originally racist motivated minimum wage laws.

While that’s true it’s a natural increase in taxes and cost. There are some cost benefits to minimum wage increases but they don’t outweigh the disadvantages.

So? It used to take dozens of people to run a farm.
Now, tractors and other machines do most of the work.
There's even tractors that don't need a driver. Just GPS.

    Of course they do.
The USA economy is far far better and bigger than 85 yrs ago. Even when min wage was enacted and the several dozens of times it has been raised.

History tells a different, and accurate, story than you are.

Technology isn't the issue. Labor cost is the issue. Fast food used to entry level jobs for school kids to learn how to work and earn some spending money. That's gone now. It's not working in California.

    You haven't proved that?
There's plenty of entry level jobs in many industries.

In fact, according to the link I gave you, 57K people in CA work in fast food. That's less than 2 people per fast food joint.

Tell that to the young family that can no longer afford to go to McDonalds or the Pizza restaurant anymore and the spouse who was working the second job just to pull in a little extra money who no longer has a job. I'm sure it will make them feel MUCH better.

California Fast-Food Chains Are Now Serving Sticker Shock
Higher state minimum wage went into effect April 1; chains say burritos and burgers are getting more expensive in response

Restaurants for months have said menu prices in California would rise as the state raised the minimum wage for fast-food workers. Now they are following through.

Consumers picking up burgers, burritos and chicken sandwiches at chains in the Golden State are grappling with prices that for months have been rising at a faster clip than in other states, according to market-research firm Datassential.

Since September, when California moved to require large fast-food chains to bump up their minimum hourly pay to $20 in April, fast-food and fast-casual restaurants in California have increased prices by 10% overall, outpacing all other states, the firm found in an analysis of thousands of restaurants across 70 large chains.

And here's my favorite part of the article

"A spokesman for the governor said fast-food companies can afford to give their workers a deserved bump in pay. “These are wages that will go towards basic necessities like rent and groceries,” he said. "

Let me guess some liberal arts poly-sci major who never ran a business sits in the governors office and just declares business can just snap and finger and pay 25% more in wages. They can just "afford" to do so. The ARROGANCE of these jerks who believe the government is there to run our lives for us and THEY know best because so professor who never ran a business filled their heads with such mush.
