Retired Marine Colonel Warns Americans About the U.S. “Building a Domestic Army”.

It’s a viral video and no wonder: Marine Colonel Pete Martino (Ret.) stood up at a local city council meeting in Concord, N.H., to express his concern that the United States is “building a domestic Army.” He pointed to the fact that local police forces are buying massive quantities of military-grade equipment that far outweighs any criminal risks they might be facing.

This is an interesting article. I couldn't agree more with Colonel Martino.

 

I didn't know your army was not allowed to be used on American soil. I was thinking wow that is good but then I remembered the 1960's and I am sure your army were shooting students at at least one University.

Yes, it does not surprise me the idea of the US building an army to use against it's own people and the US is so programmed for this. I notice he mentioned the Boston shoot out and the police having all the ammunition he had in Iraq. There obviously was a sense of shock at the over violent reaction and how civilians were even prepared to be put in lock down for 24 hours or however long it was.

Fear of terrorism has resulted in the US people giving up most of their rights. You guys will need to be very careful whom you elect for office from now on because the stage is set to allow those in power to do anything. With more unemployment and smaller wages I guess they think it is necessary to have an army to be able to take out anyone who may be a nuisance - will Snowden's warning of surveillance leading to Obama's recently announced measures have done any thing to stop this. Who knows. UK is moving in the same direction, though not being so keen on using weapons on our citizens Theresa May has not got a home army going...yet! She may well do because our army refused to come out against our citizens when she asked them during the riots a couple of years ago.

 

Your ' democratic ' vote is already a symbolic gesture of whom you would prefer to be surveilled and brutalised by. The problem is........what to do about it ? And you'd better keep your ideas very secret.

 

The odd part is that many conservatives on this board have cheered when the state has used these weapons against students, whose crime was to sit on the floor.

Now all of a sudden, the state is a threat to them and something must be done.

All very odd, but yet predictable.

 

I've always found this ironic when looking at America.

 

Yup, they are building a standing army to have victory over the American People.
They have bought enough dum dum ammunition to exterminate all Americans several times over.

It is part of the curses of the Law upon us for our willful refusal to honor America's True God, "nature's God" as our Declaration of Independence calls Jesus Christ.
Moses told us that when we reject His Word & His Will, "Those who hate you shall rule over you." (Leviticus 26:17)
He also said that when His People lose the character of Him, "they are fit for nothing but to be trodden under the feet of men." (Matthew 5:13)

 

Wasn't the Federal Army, Posse Comitatus does not prohibit the use of the National Guard when ordered to mobilize by the governor,

We have the National Guards, but they are not to intervene unless specifically asked by the Governor of a State to do so. This is what happened with New Orleans. Pres. Bush who was a Republican and therefore a strong adherent on the Constitutional limits of the Federal government, had to get permission by the Democratic Governor of Louisiana to help New Orleans. The Governor was no where to be found and so help was not forthcoming.

All this was ignored afterwards, as our liberal press began blaming President Bush rather than the Governor, since she was a Democrat. There is more to this than meets the eye though, since by ignoring the President and not asking for aid, she showed a lack of concern for the very people she had sworn to protect. She might have done it for political reasons, since liberals by their very nature believe in less freedom and more government control, even to the extent of going against the American Constitution...as we are seeing with Obama.

Stop with the damn left, right BS. If we are going to EVER stand a chance against a rogue govt, be it right or left we HAVE to stand together on the principles of freedom, liberty and justice.

 

Patriot groups and militia are facing a criminal federal govt who is militarizing law enforcement... you can't be serious.

 

I am 100% serious. The patriot groups and militias have already militarized. Law enforcement is playing catch-up.

 

And how many murders are perpetrated by militias.. I have NEVER seen a militia group with access to armored Mraps and Humvees. Or police helicopters.... you are living in lala land.

 

I think that the rift is already too deep. Democracy divides and conquers. The ' brave new world ' will have to rise from the disinterested masses.

Yes, we have heard how various alphabet agencies blew up the building themselves and blamed it on McVeigh.

 

We have had militias for years. Americans on a whole are fearful of leftist Presidents like Obama, who ignore our Constitution and take away not only our freedoms, but our sovereignty as well in deference to the U.N. Americans also fear subversive groups such as the Islamists, who have been growing in our jails by leaps and bounds. Many foresee another civil war... as do I. This is why our Constitution gives us all the right to bear arms.

 

The State National Guards can be activated by either Title 10 or Title 32 of the U.S. Code.

Title 32 gives control of the Guard to the State Governor with approval of the POTUS and SECDEF (State active duty)
Title 10 gives control to the Federal Govt., or more specifically the POTUS. (Federal active duty)

Examples of Title 32 include a Governor deploying Guardsman to State emergencies like severe storms or forest fires/ Examples of Title 10 include the POTUS deploying Guardsman to Iraq or Afghanistan in support of OIF/OEF.

These are known as Title 32 or Title 10 status.

You can bear arms if you like. They are just going to make you a target for the black helicopters law enforcement is stocking their warehouses with.

 

US law enforcement has been building its military-like (military-lite?) capabilities (which includes equipment) for many years. If this bloke has just realised that then he hasn't been paying attention.

 

The build-up is the only thing that has kept the militias from getting bold and blowing up railroad bridges.
