What we are learning, that most educated adults were saying 19 years ago, was that "nation building" does not work.

It was a terribly expensive folly.

The fact that so many of the trained Afgan military, trained and supported by the US military, literally switched sides overnight, tells me that their hearts were never into this Democracy thing to begin with.

The biggest mistake that Biden made was not simply ordering all Americans out of Afganhistan 60 days before his planned withdrawal.

I am a firm believer that once we are completely out, we must immediately bomb every single poppy field in Afganistan back into the stone-age, otherwise, in 1 year we will have a massive new heroin problem on our hands, and the talibani *********kers will used this money to arm their regime.

Do you know why Germans have so few power outages? Because their electric cables are most all underground and not hanging on wooden poles for birds to **** upon them. There are bridges in Missouri and Ohio that should be immediately closed for transit. One bridge crashes, 10,000 people die, it could come to this scenario sooner than we think,

I think the problem many of us have relates to just how deadly the medical issue is. No question that it kills, but just like the flu it is rare to see an otherwise healthy person die from it. Most just have a few days of flu like symptoms and recover. It is increasingly difficult to discern what is the real medical threat and what is political. I think the political manipulation has become so bad that we cannot find an accurate and unbiased version of what is going on today. I'm far from a Biden fan but the attacks on his political position have become almost as filled with hyperbole as Trump faced. Almost. I'm not worried about Biden, **** him, I'm worried about this country and the transformation it is being herded through.

We are racing toward 700,000 C19 deaths in the USA and many many many of them were healthy young vibrant people.

It's easy to find the unbiased version. Read the hospital stats, they publish also by age, gender, etc.

Covid-19 is NOT the flu. Educate yourself about this. I implore you to do this.

 

I've known two people who died from it, one close family and the other a long time acquaintance and friend. I have family members who have had it and recovered. Guess which were both older and infirm? I know, that's anecdotal but so is the rest of my life. Statistics won't tell the whole story, so and so died and they were only 30 years old. That doesn't tell you that so and so weighed 300 pounds. You see each one of those stats is an anecdote somewhere.

This crap is going to kill some of us and that's a fact. It will kill some who kept a safe space, wore a mask, and avoided public places. It will kill some of all ages and different health situations but so do car wrecks and yet we keep taking that risk. When we look at the percentage who will die from it it is so small that it is less risk than some of our daily routines and yet we are ready to reorder the nature of who and what we are.
