    It seems contradictory to me that there isn`t more focus on Global Population. I don`t recall the subject ever being discussed by carbonphobes, no money in it for them I guess.

    However, when we analyse the present federal political arena, and take note of the stupidity that so many people are falling for, it`s no surprise that the concept of a carbon tax could be sold to so many of the simpler minded folk.

    Sea levels have risen and fallen ever since there were seas. Land masses have also risen and fallen ever since there were land masses. The rise and fall of land masses is far, far greater in magnitude than rising and falling sea levels. That is why sea bed fossils can be found thousands of metres up mountains and the ruins of civilisations can be found under the sea. Got nothing to do with the sea rising or falling.

    So because things have happened in the past we shouldn't worry about the future? or because it has happened in the past and could happen in the future we should just keep poisoning our planet and possibly bring on an artificial global catrasphopy because one way or the other, in the long run, many balance sheets into the future....

    I have always said we humans need to clean our act up and stop poisoning the earth. Running around in circles tearing your hair out and yodeling about the sea rising is just a Chicken Lickin act. I can guarantee that movements of land masses will cause more seawater inundation in the next 5 years than any human caused sea level changes will do in the next 1,000 years, if indeed anyone can actually measure ANY sea level rise CAUSED by human activity.

    Over these past decades the INCREASE in ice in the central part of Antarctica has negated the melting that has occurred on the land based Greenland Ice Pack, the world's glaciers and the West Antarctic Ice Sheet...… but we cannot dogmatically think that this will continue to be the case for another century?!

    Morner never said sea levels were not rising. He has said the sea levels have been rising since the last ice age, just that there is no evidence to support the claims being made by the IPCC.
    Don't you think it is a bit worrying that Dr Morner was considered the worlds foremost authority on tides and sea levels until he disagreed with the church of agw? His science was perfectly acceptable up to that point, then suddenly we are told not to believe anything he says! You don't have to be Einstein to work out what's going here.....
