Why did Obama and Biden just "talk" and do nothing for eight years?

2018 - Trump passed a First Step Act criminal reform bill, undoing the severity of Biden's "throw 'em in jail" crime bill from the 1990's.

Maybe if Obama or Biden had done some actual work on criminal and prison reforms instead of "talking" there wouldn't have been any George Floyd protests.

2020 - Republican Senator Tim Scott wrote a police reform bill as a starting point, asking for Democrats to debate and offer amendments. Pelosi refused to discuss it.

2020 - Republican Senator Rand Paul introduced the "Justice for Breona Taylor " Act to stop No-Knock warrants. We'll see if the left will trash it like Tim Scott's bill. As long as Pelosi is in charge of the House and Trump is president, America can burn as far as the left is concerned.
