I'll wait and see if the polls continue to reflect that, but I'm very hopeful. A win in Iowa will be enough to get the "Paul is unelectable" fence-sitters on board.

It looks like Gingrich may take a nose dive like all the others after all.

    Romney has a ceiling.

Paul should pick up some of the other candidates support as they fall off.

You guys are funny. Paul is unelectable and he is and always has been dead meat in the primary. Weak on foreign affairs and national defense, thus his boat has sunk--especially with the Republican base. :ignore:

I am watching Special Report on Fox News, and I will bet $10,000  they won't mention this.

    Well....I lost.

Surprisingly, they mentioned it. However, they mentioned it with the caveat that PPP is a "democratic" poll.

I was watching Fox News an hour ago and according to them if Ron Paul wins Iowa it's a win for Romney.

Fox News has lost all credibility in my eyes.

Perhaps I was wrong for ever trusting them in the first place.

I realized Fox News wasn't to be trusted during the lead up to the Invasion of Iraq.

The thing about Fox News is they'll be moderately "Fair and Balanced" so long as fair and balanced serves their agenda. The moment it doesn't they aren't anything remotely similar. There is no such thing as a free and unbiased media.
Everything is agenda driven. You see this clear as day when your agenda is not the agenda of the mass media wielding powerful elite.

The great thing about this thread is it will be answered definitively.

I think he is unelectable. Good ideas mixed in with very bad ones that are extremely divisive, and the sense that he is not completely connected to the system that he works in with the capability of making things actually happen will stop him.
In spite of his libertarian chops, people have a sense that he is not quite all there; just a tad unhinged.

Well, that sense that he isn't all there is quite real, but again the bottom line is that he's the weakest candidate on foreign affairs and national security--a complete no-no for the Republican base. He's toast, and these Paul supporters know it.

Yes, so let the GOP nominate another 'electable' dud, just like last time.
Why do people think they must stand behind someone deemed electable, instead of making up their own minds and stand behind someone on principle?

    Its called Brainwashing.

Bush=Obama=Newt... No change just a different name. But Newt is "electable". Doesnt matter that he will be just another in a long line of bad Presidents. Perhaps Hannity will say that he has a "cute smile". Thats what this country needs after all.

How CAN Newt possibly be electable, that is my question?
That man makes the hair in my neck stand up, and just because some talking heads think he could win against BO doesn't mean that I would, under any circumstance, go against my principles.
Why do we let the media, and the ones behind the media, dictate what is right and wrong?
Have we lost our sense of self, our ability to think critically, so much so, that we have to wait for someone to suggest what we should be thinking?
If that's so, its no wonder we go like sheep to the slaughter.
We must learn to stand on principle once again, or accept that we are being played and quit running our mouths.

    I agree.

I like some of the ideas, from all the nominee hopefuls. But in the end, my wish is to end the current administration.

I (still) believe Romney has the best shot at doing that... because of the Independent vote.

Too bad we couldn't take bits and pieces from each of them and mold them into one candidate. lol

    Oh the libertarians cheer !
Ron Paul will win in IOWA as if it matters.

The question I want them AND PAUL to answer..
If Paul loses big AFTER IOWA will he support the Republican Nominee?

IF NO..then we have a clear proven effort to divide the Republican electorate.
His name should not be allowed on any states ballots where he didn't file as an Independent ..LIKE TRUMP..
Using the Republican party debates to further his own agenda..and not those of the Republican party shows PAUL'S Hypocrisy to the MAX.
    Talk about monumental flip flops.

You guys are like a tumor...they don't go away either.
Always gnawing at the body demanding supreme rule.
Paul 's not a true conservative..and yet you guys say Romney isn't ?
Who's the true conservative on defense..??
Jobs..the economy..while Paul, The other academia politician tries to educate us.JUST LIKE OBAMA.

IOWA and Paul go together like water and MUD..you cant have one without the other.Take away water and BOTH dry up.
IOWA is made for Paul..small..easy to fool voters who haven't voted for the final Nominees in years.
History will repeat that they dont this time either.

And for the record..I hope Romney doesn't win.. 2 or 3rd will do just fine.
