    Two comedians joking that two different people look like apes producing two drastically different results.

    I don't believe that at all. I believe that insulting people begets consequences. Even Trump has held vandettas against those who insult him.

    Ah, so two wrongs make a right?
    Can you honestly not see the difference between the two? One compares a man in orange makeup with orange hair to an orange haired animal and puts up side by side comparison photos. There is no stereotyping going on there, no religious and no racial attacks either. It was no different than jokes that Phylis Diller did her hair by putting a finger in a light socket.
    The other is clearly meant as both a religious and a racial slur tossing in one of the most vile stereotype that exists.

    One is racist and one isn't

    Racism is bad so good people don't insult based on race.


    There is no "Orange" race so to make fun of Trump is part of free speech.

    It was part of a joke demanding to see Trump's birth certificate as he had demanded to see Obama's. I personally think Maher had more justification to demand a birth certificate than Trump did.

    Yes. Black people were referred to as “apes”, “monkeys” etc. by racists for generations.

    Orangutan is not and never has been a common racial slur against white people.
