Limbaugh just advanced evidence that it was the Rubio campaign that poisoned the Iowa Caucus with "news" that Carson was dropping out.

Does this mean that Rubio is ethically challenged? Or is Rush just being mean to the very young photogenic establishment Republican champion?

Rush is now on Team Cruz....

so he's trying to convince his ditto-heads that it was "Rubio"...not Calgary Ted who was pushing the "Carson is dropping out" line.

The underlying truth to all this is that the Carson campaign was already in trouble, such that it is possible that a few of his own supporters believed this. Neither Cruz nor Rubio, etc., will suffer from this.

Carson is diminishing quickly, and he's only got himself to blame.

Carson NEVER stood a chance at becoming the GOP Presidential Nominee...

for the same reason Alan Keyes and Herman Cain never stood a chance.

So, Rush just made it up?

    - - - Updated - - -

    Dirty GOPe tricks?

    - - - Updated - - -

So, why did Rubio (and/or Cruz) go to the trouble of torpedoing Carson?

What exactly are you infering here? Are you refering to the fact that black presidential candidates are marginalized by the liberal media as not being black enough or being race traitors and therefore open game for anything they can dream up true or not? We did have a post here that lasted a week about a painting in Ben Carson's house. That would support this notion even conceding the fact that the painting was creepy at best.

Or perhaps you are inferring that all Republicans are racists. If so, why not just say it?

Get real. The republican party would never nominate a black guy. Case closed.

then there should have been no need to tweet that Carson was dropping out of the race. Right?

Rush???? Make stuff up???? I'm shocked, I tell you, SHOCKED at such an accusation. :)

No...try that "certain segment" of the GOP they've cultivated since the "Southern Strategy"

    - - - Updated - - -

Not ALL Republicans....but a goodly chunk.

But in 20-25 years they'll mostly all die of old age ...and the GOP will SERIOUSLY consider an African-American for Veep or even President.

Perhaps, but the more actionable reality is that he has lost more than half of his support in these last two months. Even if he was toast always, he's burnt toast now.

Carson was already "torpedoed". That CNN then reported info that might enable Cruz or Rubio to benefit makes it only smart that either campaign would pick up on it.

An announcement that Carson was suspending his campaign, or just plain choosing to take a break in campaigning, which was the real truth, would benefit other candidates, hoping to gain some of Carson's eroding support.

He represents himself as too mild-mannered. I've no doubt he'd be a far superior POTUS over any Democrat and head and shoulders above Obama

But the GOPe is good - right? ;-)

    - - - Updated - - -

Carson has not politically sophisticated. Probably because he is not a politician. What a handicap! ;-)

    - - - Updated - - -

Carson was not dropping out. It was a dirty political trick. Rush gave evidence that it was Rubio who did the dirty deed.

The Left has a very long history of racism. The earliest issues of The Masses was peppered with hateful racist images of black Americans.

And no one really cares. Carson will be dropping out in time. And not because of this, but rather because he doesn't have enough support to sustain for the duration.

Caucus goers would be more inclined to change their vote if they were told by other candidates that they were considering that their primary choice was suspending the campaign, or at least alluding to it. The biggest damage was done by a tweet by Rep King, who is the chairman of the Iowa Cruz campaign. My suspicion is that tweet was intentional and directed towards Carson supporters to think about who they were possibly voting for based on intentional misinformation.

So what ? Much ado about nothing. Carson was toast and still is toast. He is polling 3 in NH, and 8 in SC.

Libruls can whine all they want, but seeing as they exonerate Hillary of any malfeasance ever, no one gives a (*)(*)(*)(*) about libruls whining about such as Cruz or Rubio. If anything, its a good source of humor !!

Here's all I know for sure:

Rubio's character has been revealed and he's a untrustworthy POS. He's willing to lie about his previous positions and those of others.

    Meet the new Obama.

Yes, the Jeb Bush train ad does seem to capture the essence of Rubio rather well. Nevertheless, the GOPe crowd seem tio think conservatives will vote for another crooked pol to beat the Dems. No doubt some will - and hate themselves the next morning.

Enough to elect another version of Bush I?

Like Cruz, Carson's main support was evangelicals, which are not real big in either NH or SC. Carson's main problem was his answers and explanations on foreign policy about two mounts ago that is why he is losing overall support. To add to that, Cruz is not going to be the nominee because he only attracts 30% of the 30% within the GOP. Rubio can and does appeal to conservatives and/or tea partiers, but his main problem is that he changes his mind way too often in order to "go with the wind" of the GOP mantra.

Still, those factors have nothing to do with the topic at hand and why the Cruz and/or Rubio people were trying to discount Carson in Iowa in order to gather those votes against Trump. Iowa was a must win for Cruz. If he did not win, his campaign would be toast. Since he did win Iowa, his campaign is still on life support. It also shows something about Cruz's character and why he is so disliked in Washington, even amongst Republicans.

LOL, LOL! Republicans playing smear politics, deception, and lying about each other, but we have 4 threads on the statistics of a coin toss. Priceless.

It shows, though, that the Christian values voters will have no trouble seeing past a little bit lying and deception, as long as it is a principled, upstanding, and self-proclaimed Christian family values guy doing it.
