    Well financed and organized liberal groups calling advertisers to pull their advertising. Business is loath to be involved in controversy. This has become the rage after failing at actually trying to influence the debate.

    No, it will fail, but Limbaugh provided the fodder for their outcry.

    What is happening in broadcasting because of this though is that anyone on radio is now fearful of making a mistake, which will happen at some point in time especially those on 3 hours a day. Since an apology is not acceptable by this crowd, only destruction is because that is their ultimate aim.

    For some reason the left fears constitutionally protected speech.

    On the other hand, they applaud people like Maher, one of Obama's biggest supporters and a donator of 1 million to his cause. A guy that calls women bimbos, boobs, tw*ts, and c*nts.

    The left hasn't failed at putting out opposition radio. Lefties don't listen to AM radio.

    People on the left, tend to be younger, and as a result, more likely to get thier news from the internet, or cable TV.

    Sites like HuffPo and mediamatters have much higher traffic than Drudge.

    most lefties that I have known don't spend a lot of time driving around in pickup trucks listening to the radio from noon to three on weekdays. Talk radio, for the most part, is aimed at the double digit IQ crowd. Lefties might stop in once in a while just for the sheer comedy value.

    The majority of Rush's audience is the same demographic that was the strongest for McCain in 2008......white males over 50 without college degrees.

    Lot's of retirees, and non working people listen to Rush. In spite of his foundationless claims that his audience is the smartest audience around.

    It's a very bad week for Rush. :sick:
